the pearl

How do you get the pearl in the game, without having to complete the game? I really want it, but right now, all i have is a dark frigate that looks a little like it... but still, it isnt the pearl...

Try program\ships\ships.init

change refShip.CanEncounter = false; to true

I tried setting the game so I'd be able to get the pearl on startup, because the amount of errors on my game seems to be proportional to the amount of game time i have played...

I edited internalsettings, but that didnt seem to have any effect... I removed one of the boats and inserted BLACK_PEARL, isnt that what Im supposed to do?

try using BlackPearl as that's the ships refShip.Name

to get the black pearl at the beginning of the game , find the ships init file in PROGRAM/Ships and open it. scroll down to ship which u want to have at beginning of game, copy the refship.name e.g. "theBlackPearl". now go and open the internal settings file located in the PROGRAM folder and delete one of the ships names (located near top of document) and replace it with the one u want, and save it. now start a new game and the ship will be in the ship selection list.
