The requested file upload failed

The following error was encountered by both Hook and Petros when they tried to upload a file to the forum:

last time I got that error
wasn't using a FTP program to upload.

FTP has nothing to do with it. It's the "attach file to post" on the forum that I'm talking about. Also: I have now had the same problem myself, so that's three people having that problem.

I've had it also each time i try to attach a file to a post(even a small file - like 48kb, so its not an error of overloading).

The admin needs to set folder permissions to 666 or 777 (depends on the site <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ) on a fodler called "uploads" somewhere in IPB's files <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

or just use the FTP until the site admin gets to this project

I guess they are not granting permission anymore.

I wonder if it is due to all the hacking this year.

It appears the attachment system is messed up again. Hook can't upload attachments anymore and I couldn't download one of Petros' attachments. Any idea what's going on?

The path to the upload dir was the old one, all updated now <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
