Between 2002 and 2004, I was not a part of PiratesAhoy! but a member of the Virtual Sailor community instead.
During this time I used to run my own website at www . vsshipyard . tk .
This is now making its return on the PA! servers: The Virtual Sailor Shipyard

EDIT: Everything I still had is now available.
With the exception of my entire game folder; which actually...
I could also upload some day if somebody wants it.

EDIT 2: That's now also done.

When I clicked on the link I got this message from AVG and the site looked like this:

That link is indeed long dead.
I managed to convince the forum software to make it not clickable anymore.

It is already there, mate!

I'll try to restore the "Boat of the Month" logo later.
Site looks a bit silly without that one.

I have no intention of expanding on this site ever again.
But it does contain a lot of personally historical content that was probably going to get lost to the ages.
And now it is back; safely with us and here to stay.
 
Now I uploaded an even older (but bigger) version of the site too:

This is only a shadow of its former glory as I lost most of my files to all sorts of digital zaniness.
You can still find very obvious traces of what used to be there though, if you know where to look.
And I am giving you one hint right now: Index of /vsshipyard/_old/add-ons/boats

I even uploaded all source files for my 3D models here:

You could probably spend days crawling through these archives and keep finding new stuff.
Whether or not you should, though?
I dunno.

The internet has changed a lot since my website was originally live.
And while my own page is back online, many of the ones it links to have long since disappeared.
Shame really... there was plenty of good stuff there too.

BUT... I just updated the most important links that I could so that at least there's less dead than there used to be.
That means the 'larger image' button on the main page now ACTUALLY WORKS.
And the links to the official Virtual Sailor website and email address are now current as well. :dance


For reference, Virtual Sailor itself was discussed on our forum here already in 2005: Virtual Sailor
And our very own @LarryHookins has enjoyed its successor, Vehicle Simulator on Steam, for a good few years too. :sail


Also... I had NO CLUE that I, me, @Pieter Boelen, had content of my own ON STEAM!
And yet, I just discovered that I DO: Essential Boats on Steam
Not only that, but my "Ever Renown" and "MS Bremen" are apparently considered ESSENTIAL!!! :shock

As usual though, it's the older version that doesn't have the two pretty girls in bikini hanging around the swimming pool.
Seems that update managed to fall through the cracks of time.
Until now, that is!
Good thing she's back then on my own website; where she belongs. :love

I´m sorry, that i want something right in my first Post. But you can´t download the entire Folder in the Moment. Could you Please reupload it? I´m esppecially interested in the "Between the Seas 3" Scenery. I am looking for it so long. a few years ago i had it. And as I said, i am from Rostock. It was such a great thing to sail out the Harbor of Warnewünde with my Hanse Kogge, set course to Wismar, load up and sail to Denmark. It would be so great, if i can do that again! And Between 2 is great, but Between 3 is such a Leap!
