there are no level 1 boats

(i shoulda put this under the gameplay section but too late to change) ok this might be a bug i do not know. i have enough money to buy a manowar, and um i really need and want one. im in a Warship right now. ok whats weird is that its a level 1 for me and for other people on the water, but in the shipyards, its a level 2. so yea that doesnt make any sense. also i went into the buildsettings and changed the pirate and merchant boats to level 1 (if anyone knows what im talking about) but there aren't any level 1 boats still! any help apreciated

dP, you may have to up your character level to get the level 1 ships - and what is your sailing skill like? If you have not put any skill points towards your sailing and leadership skills you will need to do that to "qualify" to get the bigger ships...
 
amazingly, you were right! i went to sink a few pirate boats, and i got a level up, and made my sailing to level 3, then go into the town and then shipyard and there was a manowar. thankyou! or maybe its just a big coincidence. but thankyou anyways. i finally have my ship <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Now here's a fun thing to do in the game - if you have two ships - the MOW and a smaller vessel - maybe a xebec or a corvette or schooner - make the smaller ship your flagship and go to any of the governors and ask for a letter of marque - then ask if he has anything for you to do - he'll send you out hunting for pirates...

Here's the deal - the pirate's ship when you get the mission will be the same size as or perhaps a size less than your flagship. But when you get out to sea you can change to your MOW and BLAST THEM AWAY, hahah!
