Do you see what's wrong ? You do umm then for them who don't someone made a mod and put a house on top of another house with out clearing up the 1st house.
This is with what some of us call Build 13.

Have you been inside these houses ?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yes in both. The 1st mansion was ok and the 2nd was a house but could not get in the the mansion.
Both give you a quest to guard house and you can get high Reputations if you do it right.
Just thought I say about it as it dont look tidy from outside lolz.

BTW have you been inside or looked ?

I've been in every building that I could enter through a door & checked them out.

The new buildings are easy enough to destroy too if you want to. All you need to do is attack the building at certain point where it shows the damage being done to it & continue until the building is destroyed.

That's the spirit! No whining. If you don't like it, leave it, improve it or destroy it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Thanx CCC,
I love the new Islands & most of the new buildings, but if I don't like a certain forest or building I just destroy it.
Mind you though, I make sure I change the " Loot Dead " settings first. That way I dont end up with a heap of Building Permits in my Inventory that I can't remove.
Have you ever equipped a Forest ?....... I have & it was a little different, so was a building I equipped, but the cannon I equipped that I got when I went on a rampage in St Johns, sure packs a hefty punch.

Sorry, I don't see anything "WRONG" there. I made an additional location there(the original town of Oxbay is still untouched), and tried to add some variation by putting Buildingset models on top of other buildings so that the outlines and doors match AS FAR AS POSSIBLE. Which was a hell lot of work.

If you had read a bit of the modding forum or the Build readme you'd know that there is currently no other way to change the looks of PotC locations. You can't "clear up the 1st house" (well, at least I can't. Maybe you can? Then go ahead.)

Don't get me wrong, I agree that my locations look far from perfect. And I have no problem if anyone simply says "I don't like that". But your rather dramatic post sounds to me as if some evil negligent guy did you a grave, scandalous injustice. With that kind of "feedback" you only drive people away from modding.

No offense taken or intended, though, I just wanted to put things in the right perspective <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Ya ty site looks good lolz

To SuoiveD: You have the auto-loot setting turned on usually? It's meant to be off with the latest modpack, so you can loot corpses manually and choose what items you want to take. Maybe we could add some code that removed Building Permits from characters when they die or to make sure that Building Permits can't be received by the player at all. I tried something similar with the fists, but it might not entirely work right yet.

To SilverHawk: The Building Set models apparently don't work properly as far as lightning is concerned (probably because the blade/gun lightning applies to them, instead of regular building/character lightning). Also, because the program handles them as blades/guns from invisible characters, you can walk right through them. If you enter a building, you do it by walking right through the wall (press Tab to switch to first-person mode to be able to see inside properly). You can't attach locators to characters, so you can't enter the buildings like usual. I had an idea that might work, but it still needs to be realised and tested: replacing gun/blade buildings with character buildings. Test results, so far, are zero. The game keeps crashing.

Whatever you did with the Fists worked cause now I dont collect fists.

As for having loot on, well I usually do until I've collected enough Atwoods (150) & Cardinal Guards (30) then I turn it off. When I'm going to destroy buildings or forests I turn off the Auto-loot,but when I'm just mucking around & seeing what all the different Building Permits do I just leave it on.

I change a lot of things in the BuildSetting.h file & the BuildSettings Internal file just to have things more interesting. But I always backup a copy before I change anything so that I can change it back to what it was before I started changing it anytime I want.

Auto-loot where do I find that to on building setting, can't find.
Where do I get Permits and what they for.

Dont worry about trying to get the Building Permits as they are more a hindrance than anything.

To change the Auto Loot go to POTC/Program/BuildSettinggs.h

Scroll down to MISCELLANEOUS SETTINGS, then continue scrolling down till you come to

#define LOOTDEAD_ON 0

Change the 0 to a 1 then go to file in the top lefthand corner & click SAVE.
