Treasure is too less!

At the current game, the treasure of named pirates are between `2000-10000` based on the rank, this is too less!
You spent a lot fo time and money to find it, but the reward is not valuable.

I think the better range is `12000-20000`, waht do you think?

It took me two years to get the number 1 ranked pirate of my game (Henry Morgan) and I got around 37000 gold pieces <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

did you ever looked how much they plundered douring the game ???

you will see they plunder more and more and i think if you find
the treasure late in game it will be bigger as at the beginning....

i start new campain next weekend so i try to never ask the barmaid
because she tells you about the pirate and once you have him in
your mission board he will not move there away......

once i met morgan near port royal i hount him but always with a bit
distance and whatch him doing and while i made this he captured more
than 15`000 he attacked every ship who cross his way

so i think if you buy the maps later in the game the gold ammount will
be higher
i will try it just survive with the governer letter to capture ships of a nation
whos in war with em
it dont brings much money but i hope the treasures will be bigger in late
game

It is pretty annoying to pay around 2000 for all of the pieces of a pirate treasure map on swashbuckler level, and then recover a treasure that is only 2000 or 3000 for all your work...

Skipper, in my gaming I have indeed found that the longer you wait to grab the top 10 the more gold they have. *observation*

The game length only affects the amount on their ships, not the burried amount. That's set and never changes. Henry will always have 10,000 buried, but the amount he carries will fluctuate, actually grow as the game goes on.
My frustration is the amount (or lack) of gold for attacking cities, especially the larger ones. I sacked Havana and got 13,700. Treasure galleons in those days carried a lot more than that. The fleet that sunk off the coast or Florida is estimated to have over a billion dollars (US equivilent) of gold.
We need the silver train.
We need a real treasure fleet.
We need the major cities to reflect the amount of gold they should have.
I'm just saying.

I would be happy if they just added back the option to loot a town and transfer all the merchants goods to your fleet prior to leaving. its still havy to survive without taking the gold from pirates
it has to be that you can earn money if you do a governers
mission ....
but you wont get gold if you bring him to his new town
or if you saved the mailrunner
thats soo crappy

thats because i never do missions like that only if i want
to stress the nations

try it ....

only really work on swashbukkler because them are always 3 ships
who want to stop your mission ..

go in every habor you see also the small one and the priestvillage
also the pirates
and accept all missions but dont fight for ........
then always 3 pirates or 3 spain dutch ..... hounting ships survive
and attack all ships in his sea region and then whatch what towns do
they send piratehounters and a big massacre will start on sea

The beauty of the game... we can decide to or not to grab the Pirates... I just bash them with chain until I am facing only a few enemy crew then pray and offer canned Dolphin, (Tuna Free), to Poseidon.

I very seldom play for points anymore, I simply set a goal to challenge myself and go.

One of these days, I am going to convince an Indian Chief to tell me about lost cities.
