Treasure map but can't find it

I assembled the two partial maps by equiping them and the new map says; 'go to the cave Mosquitoes, the island of."

First of all, there is no island Mosquitoes its a beach, 2nd there is no cave from Mosquito beach? I've looked at the cave near Santa Catalina but no treasure?

There are actually two Mosquitoes beaches, IIRC. Plus the maps are a bit screwy and sometimes you have to walk quite a ways before you get to the right cave, even passing other caves along the way.
Basically, you're going to have to look into every cave that can be reached on foot from either of the Mosquito beaches.

I'll take another look at the computer map. The maps are not very good, frequently the names on the computer maps are different than the names of the actual places when you select GOTO with your ship.
