Updating on big ship

Just wonder why updating speed on the biggest ships are so very high but gives so little increase in speed

Principly you can say that the bigger your ship is, the slower will be it´s speed. But that also depends on many other things like canon size, freight, amount of sailors, sails, wind and personal ship skills like "Higher Seespeed" and "Windwatcher".

All this only matters on sea. On the worldmap the speed is equal for all of your own ships and is only depending on the wind direction.

all of upgrades adds %20 of base properties. Big ships have less base speed.. and 20 percent effect is less. thats the reason

This is negligible if you only upgrade speed and leave the rest like it is.
