Way to make sailing more realistic in Build 12?

I've got Build 12 installed (which is GREAT, by the way) and I was wondering if it's possible to make it so that stationary ships cannot turn at all.

It's great that ships masts can be shot away, but since they can still turn and fire at you it really doesn't make them any easier to sink or capture, just easier to run from.

If you shoot down the masts, its harder for them to turn, and slower to move, which enables you to fire grapeshot broadsides from a safer place, where they can't fire. I'm inclined to agree with you on this, even on realistic sailing mod I find that demasted enemy ships are still able to rapidly turn and fire as I approach, (even MOW's!) which can make an attempt at boarding them a Phyrric endeavor. Rest assured though, people, especially Nathan Kell <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="bow.gif" /> , are always tinkering with the physics in the game, to make them reflect reality a little more closely.

With amazing help from Nathan Kell, I made exactly what you want. Although I didn't make the turning speed exactly 0, it's so slow that with no wind, to turn 90 degrees would take half an hour, real time.
