What island would "tickle" yer fancy?!

What island would be your starting point or in roleplayin' terms be the one that you will call home or yer port 'o call in this upcoming game?

I would most likely aim fer one 'o the Dutch islands in the Caribbean since well..... you figure it out!

Please state why you have chosen a particular island or town, besides your nationality i mean...
 
St.Kitts,cauz it was divided between the English and the French and it would be funny to fight over the island by land battles and travel between the towns, and it has exciting history. I recommend to everyone a book A history of St.Kitts by Vincent K. Hubbard ( it has a bit of history of piracy events in it )

BTW I know that in the game St. Kitts will be under just one flag - English.
 
I will first watch every island carefully, conclude wich one has the largest turnover (profit), and then coquer that, or if islands matter on the upgrades that can be installed (so not only the buildings matter, but also the island) i would conqeur the one wich is most suitable for that.

for roleplayng purposes i would conquer the island that fits into the story i amfollowing at the time, figuring i will be plaing an english pirate, well conquering one of the french or spanish, however the titel ``gov`` of barbedos sounds rather nice too <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Ah thats great to hear, i will most likely be born 'n bred in poor Europe the mainland that is...

Sailin' of to the sunny Carib, most likely settling somewhere 'round Curacao me reckons...
 
you will be quite far away from other towns...what makes you think that Curacao is good choice? you're all alone there

in your place i would choose St.Martin where you have Spanish due west and English due south...

french towns reminds me on cow-dungs, one just here, second in far side of the map, other in the middle somewhere

No to tell truth me English friend, i have visited that island once and therefore would be temted to see it as me new home away from home so to speak...

I do agree that there is a huge mass 'o open sea between the nearest Dutch colony but i like to ponder over numerous subjects on me long journeys, so yer concern is noted yet not necessary Capn'!
 
Me thinks that I be choosin Puerto Rico, since I live there. I be thinkin that the Spaniards be the richest, livin off the nobles. I also be Spanish decendent, plus, like I mentioned before, I live there. Me mind is made up...

However i have made up me mind, well sort 'o i reckon...

I will await The Build13, and much rather play that instead 'o Age of Manga oops i meant Pirates hehe...

Aye!, me thinks I be waitin for the build 13 as well, plus any builds Age o' Pirates has to offer.

I haven't actually played it yet (it gets released on september 13th here), but I have this strange attraction to french ports. French people are just so cool... I don't know why... they just are. However, on the flip side, spain usually has some really pretty ports... so I guess we'll have to see
