when will age of pirates come out?

No I don't think so .
Oherwise it should have been reported .
They said it should come out november/december , but I even doubt that ... because of the lack of information we get from the game ... Usualy , when a game if nearly complete , the PR ppl should start promoting and since it hasn't realy been the case ...
 
I'm also becoming pessimistic here, but it must be noted that Playlogic _did_ acquire the publishing rights, so there must be a product there somewhere.

Unfortunately, neither Akella nor Playlogic seem to be too eager to communicate with the public at the moment...
 
i wonder what the company was thinking, POTC had been released in 2002, and AOP was juz a slight improvement in terms of graphic, by the time it comes out, maybe around 2006, isn't it will be a bit behind time? counting the numbers of other games with much2 cooler graphic

The game gfx were suppirior of that time .. you still need a high-tech PC to play POTC at it's full gfx

in general the gfx hav'nt improved that much at all the last few years . They have the technology , but not the comsumers with PC with such high technoloy ... I think ppl are waiting for the pentium V to come out

Also there's quite a lack of decent (pirate) RPG's right nowso if it comes out it will at least have some succes

I don't think that the game lies behind ... Although it depends when they're gonna release

So either they're ceeping their mouth's shut up for shoking the world with the game (like EA did with bf1942) , or it's gonna be putted in the refregerator (wich means either it will eventualy come out muuuuuuuuuuuuch longer , or it will never come out )

the folowing months are depending !
 
well, maybe they think tat since it was almost the same wif POTC so they didnt bother to release it anymore cos it wont have a big impact on the market

and only in russia
6 month later gonna translate 4 4 languages(ENG,SPA,FRA,GER)

but i need russian copy cuz i speak this language

I'm just wondering why no gaming sites have mentioned it. At all. It seems like the phantom game.

Well ... It just got me thinking ... It is a russian game , prehaps they DID do alot of PR managment , but in Russia (published by 1C btw) ONLY .

As mentioned be4 it will probably take a few months to make the diffrent laguage versions , so no PR work has to be done in the western countries yet ..
 
You are prolly correct, england, but I think they could at least give us info on the possible release dates etc. As it is, they are leaving as hanging and getting more and more annoyed with them.

Thats interesting. Maybe they got the date wrong. I was told a while ago when Akella had good pr.... that it will be 6months after the russian release. that may have changed with the new publisher but sounds about right since the russians to a degee will be our beta testers.

Anyway, it seems like they're releasing the game real soon now, since it's been something of a preview frenzy in russian gaming press lately, I think the prerelease campaign had started and in a couple of weeks we can get our hands on our share of betatesting, LOL

Yes, the game is ready in Russia and it version was sent in some Russian game magasines for press-preview.
We were waiting for the game at 28.10.2005, but it seems to be at this week. (I hope, as many of us :) )

But ony GreyAngel knows it exactly :)
 
I dont think we have to wait 6 months after russian release for english thou, if one looks at the preview video one will see some of the english is already in place. and with todays technology translating shouldnt be a hard thing to do <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
