Well this is not the true piratey way, but best you save your game somewhere close to Cumana. Then you start looking east of Cumana and as skull said, look for the landmarks.
Take your time and sooner or later you'll find the house with your aunt.
If this take a very long time and your crew is angry, because they don't haven't seen any shiny things in a while, then load the game and go directly to the locatione then.
