It's while I've disengaged from the battle having captured my target and leave the combat until the "All-Clear" theme plays any attempt to save is blocked with "can't save while sailing" non-sense. It is a set condition in the program by a Y/N logic switch which can be removed to remove this condition that is causing the lock-out. The bug with sinking the second (escort) ship is a programming error in a revision of the program creating a conflict within the logic that has no action associated with a logic step. A logic flow chart, if one exists, would show a link with a blank action resulting from the Y switch trigger. Or, could simply be save overflow of the available save file limit crashes the game because of an infinite loop error... with no "timeout" step. Since it's a freeze MS gives no fault diagnostic of the critical file fault.

Previously working download after use for a short time has self corrupted now crashes when attempting to get underway...

The missing icons for the silver brooch are yet another indication that your installation is faulty.

Also, do not post text or screenshots from log files. Just attach them using the "Attach files" button.

But until you have deleted this faulty installation and managed to install the game correctly, there is little point in trying to solve these problems.

That's what I thought which is why I sent them to you for confirmation. Has anyone tested the link posted on the webpage? I downloaded a dozen times, each time resulted in similar "drop-outs" maybe my service provider Comcast/Xfinity is faulty or the link has been corrupted. With such a large file it's easy to get drop-outs for many reasons.

Anyway I've given up on v22 and returned to previous versions but would like to get mods to remove obvious faults. Like "Greek Fire"? saving while boarding lockout, saving while sailing (disengaging) any help finding those files would be appreciated.
 
BTW... where are the info (instructions) for using this bulletin board? I'm using trial and error, not efficient or comfortable for anyone. Sent images since the details are so numerous and collectively important to the issues.
