Why is everyone Neutral?!

I'm starting to feel the urge of destroying some ships, but it's impossible when everyone is Neutral! I have picked a flag, the British, but still everyone is Neutral, and it's really starting to irritate me. Hopefully, someone here might help me with my problem.

And another thing, which nation has the coolest uniform? I have seen the British and the French, but they suck :p When I look at them, I think of: Cheese?! ..... Anyways, any cool uniforms out there? Pirates won't be neutral, and the French are hostile initially. As for the nations, they may be hostile to each other, but they're neutral to you until you do something to anger them, like stealing their ships or firing on their forts.

For a nice uniform, there's a French corsair in the tailor shop in Falaise that I think is the best uniform. It's file is Corsair1_1. Black military coat, nice shirt, tricorn hat.

The Pirates seems to have just disappeared, even when I sail near Quebradas Costillas I can't find any Pirate ships. When it comes to the French's hostility, there are non. Everytime I TRY to enter a battle with a french ship out on the sea, they color of the ships are grey on the radar, and I can't fire at them. And that's just stupid, when I'm sailing with the British flag, and the British are at war with everyone except Portugal, I think. And how can you steal ships from them, or attack their forts when they are ALL NEUTRAL? You should be able to go to first person view and manually target them even if they are neutral. That should get tick them off.

Did you find that corsair on Falaise? I think it's the best uniform out there.

There's also a similar one with a blue coat and red hose. if I can find out which file it is, I'll get back with you.
 
No I haven't found it yet. I think it's random what you can buy from the tailor, but I did get myself a commander uniform in Oxbey, it was nice enough. I didn't longer think that the title of Commander was suitable for a man like Jack Sparrow, after all, he is a pirate =p. BTW; I got myself a Warship now, jesus christ it's so much better then my Xebeq.
 
Good for blowing the bejaysus out of everything, but now so good for boarding. It's not very nimble or quick. Keep 'em both; that way you can blow stuff up or board and plunder as your whimsey takes you.

In the tailor's shop, the things offered are randomly, but if you decline his offerings and ask again, a different selection will generate. Some suits are country-specific.

Once you find one you like, you can modify one of the data files (I can't remember which one right now) so you start with it.
 
I'm wondering if I should buy myself a Manowar, is it worth the money if I like blowing things up more then I like to board?
I'm also having a problem with loading my cannons with Knipples, I can only load them with Cannonballs, Grapes and Bombs? Somekind of bug or something?
 
Sounds like you're having quite some weird bugs there. How are you running your game? Stock PotC? Stock PotC + Build 12? Or have you also installed the Post Build 12 modpack on top? In the modpack, you shouldn't be able to use Bombs. But the grapes should work properly, for all I know. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I'm running stock POTC + Build 12.1 ... The Grapes load fine, but not the knipples.. Don't know why, all I know is that knipples would be mighty fine to have in combat, specially if you want to board with a big ship.
 
What happens if you try to load them? Also: Be sure to check your cargo hold to see if you actually have knipples aboard. If not, buy them from a store. I doubt this will help you, but it's worth a try...
 
When I try to load them, the bombs are loaded in stead, even though the upper left corner says Knipples =p Totally screwed up, and yes I have knipples aboard <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
