To a llama, the world is very simple, consisting of (a) things to eat, (b) things to mate with, (c) things to run away from, and (d) rocks.

Despite the llama giving them several chances, the people surrounding the llama aren't giving it anything to eat, which rules out (a). The word "surrounding" rules out (c). They're moving around too much and making too much noise to be (d). So eventually the llama concludes that only (b) remains. :d:

Besides, you can tell the llama isn't really attacking. It's not spitting and it's not biting. First it tries to be friendly, then it tries to be really friendly.
