    Technically, you should start your career at 18 years old and in excellent health. As you age, your health worsens up to failing state. Once you reach that health level, you're not far from your forced retirement.

    I used ZSnes to play Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons, and everything worked pretty well. Just be sure to get the newest version of the emulator (Windows version, not DOS one) and you should be fine.     Yellowbeard, you could try to use DOSBox to run New Horizons. It's a pretty decent DOS emulator, and makes some old games run quite well!     Isn't it possible to swap the desired model with the original one and have the new model carry out the orders in the original characters's .KF files? I'd try but I really don't know which are the files that contain the model of the main character and the other people.

    weird thing happening sometimes when trying to board...

    I've heard a couple of times that you can actually destroy a ship by ramming it if it's considerably smaller than yours (reported when trying to board very small vessels such as War Canoes). Never happened to me though. I don't think it's a bug, it's a perfectly possible situation.
