Build 14 Alpha 7 Plus Full Version

Also be sure to reset the controls to default; as far as I know the [C]-key should work just fine.
 
what is the proper way to conduct the new campaign? meaning is there a certain proccess i have to go thorough in order for the new campaign to function properly cause if i just do the eitc quests i end up in the redmond tavern with beckett not saying a darn word.

After downloading today - (via the e-mails) I too got the Beckett problem after Antigua. (no problem with the first [Oxbay] and second [Redmond - first] meetings with him)
A Win merge check of dialogs c & h show no change from the original "as written".

The only change I can see so far, is the "ITEM" (the document the player is bringing back for Beckett)
That has been change from the "as written" picture and code, but I don't really think that should affect it.

other than these little errors, the new version seems to run smoothly and is excellent.
 
"In the evil stormy start dialouge you can't get the spy glass and get out of the cabin."

It appears there is no pistol or spyglass in the chest. But, when you get to sore you are carrying the spyglass.
 
Did you all run the Files.bat in the main PotC directory? You do need to, otherwise several parts of the game will be messed up. Most importantly the shadow files for all new locations willbe missing.

If you do a Stormy Start, you were never able to take something from the quest, were you? You were washed upon a shore straight after selecting the dialogue option and were given a random blade and run, weren't you? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
Thanks for the previous answer- it helped. Is there a way to get the EIC flag? Beckett says he gives it to you, but doesn't (or not for me anyway).

When you enter the town, James Norrington should come to talk to you. When you enter the tavern Cutler Beckett is supposed to come to talk to you.

Your above two problems suggest to me that something went wrong with your installation. Can you please extract b14_alpha7_plus.zip on top of your current game version again? Hopefully that will fix the issues you're having.

Have just downloaded all files from the beginning and Charlestown worked just fine.

It's not in place yet - but the one provided works correctly.

Yes that is right. Now in both Stormy and evil stormy, you have dialogue options, but if you use them you get stuck.

Other issues:

Pretty frequent CTDs in a varitety of situations.

Cuba -- tansitions screens say Redmond

Cuba -- smuggler sent me to a place called error.

In boarding in small ships on the new deck you are stuck under the deck and must slide sideways to start blocking and saving yourself.

What is with the warriormonk in the middle of the Phillipsburg battle.

Some of the crew and officers have a skeleton in the dialouge box.
 
another problem that occurs is on the decks of ships. i don't know if ever ship does this but the merchantman, light galleon and severel othre galleons have the dutchman color deck. yet the rest of the ship is normal <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
 
some other errors/ glitches are that you can still pick up more than six rounds of bullets/gunpowder from a dead guy without having an ammo pouch or powder thing. to do this simply exchange with them(them being the dead guy) and rotate gold or something for the ammo then pick everything back up and when all is said and done you can have like 30 rounds.

another gun glitch is reloading during battle i don't know if your supposed to be able to do this or not but if you have ammunition and powder you can hit the 2 key and your gun is automatically reloaded.

Ahoy,

I just want to confirm that there is still no cannon fire sound in third person ship to ship combat.

Also when you are started in boarding, you are surrounded by enemies with no chance to manuver.

no what i mean is that the ships deck in general while sailing has the green coloring of the dutchman, other than the color everything is normal on the ship.

i'm hoping this is just my version, but when doing the new quest with beckett there is a major gltich/error.

when your told to do to douwson ( i think this is the reason) after sinking the ship and you report to beckett he asks why haven't the "mystery man" and rheims been caught. in addition he basically retells you to get the statues. then after that he leaves or vanishes and your stuck in the governors hall. to top that off the room fills with water and every place you travel to brings you back to the hall.

now instead of it being full of water you see two of yourself and every way you move the other one of you moves as well. Its quite freaky actually.

i'm gonna try the douwon quest the by talking t othe pirate leader this time to see if it helps.

Lol, I think "bug-bombardment" is the proper word for the last few pages in this thread! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

However, every new feature in a game means new bugs, and a lot of new and great stuff is certainly added since Build 13. So we need patience.
When the testers have learned to follow the installation procedure THOROUGLY, the new content added is complete and al the bugs are gone, this will be one groundbreaking Build! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Hell, yeah.......

Yes I think you've got it. Go see the Pirate leader in the jungle - get idols from him - go back to town and look for monk just inside the gate.
 
i can get into charleston now after running the files bat thing. bu i still get he big error two post above
 
A couple of more bugs.

After doing nothing but fighting pirates my relations with England are -29 and I can't trade at the store or shipyard.

CTD talking to Gov in Redmond.
