i think i found the problem

fixed by doing this if anyone has the same bug here is what worked for me

That should not be necessary because "PROGRAM\DIALOGS\blaze_dialog.c" should have this:

That 'AddDialogExitQuest' line is what should trigger quest case "blaze_fight_in_rheims_house_complete". And so, in Build 14 at least, I've never had this problem. And the lines "What to do..." and "It would surely not hurt to rest a bit" do not appear in my version of "PROGRAM\DIALOGS\ENGLISH\blaze_dialog.h".
 
build 15 is strange the sails are bugged the animations are not all there and the waves during the storms are not there as well (alredy level 60 in this one so i will not change the build now :napoleon
 
Animations may still have problems as Build 15 uses a different engine. But quest and dialog code ought to work the same. If 'AddDialogExitQuest' doesn't work then a lot of quests are going to break!

Could you upload your versions of "PROGRAM\DIALOGS\blaze_dialog.c" and "PROGRAM\DIALOGS\ENGLISH\blaze_dialog.h"?

Thanks - could you also upload "blaze_dialog.h"?

Have you tried the sidequest "Saving Toff's Daughter" yet? If 'AddDialogExitQuest' isn't working, that quest will break when you go to the port.

can look for it when i have time to play again
 
Apart from differences in how Build 14 and Build 15 handle special characters such as "á" in Capitán", both "blaze_dialog.c" and "blaze_dialog.h" are the same in your versions as in mine. Neither contain the lines which you saw.

Check if you have another copy of "blaze_dialog.c" in "PROGRAM\Storyline\standard\DIALOGS", or another copy of "blaze_dialog.h" in "PROGRAM\Storyline\standard\DIALOGS\ENGLISH".

Otherwise, @Hammie, have you any idea where in Build 15 the lines "What to do..." and "It would surely not hurt to rest a bit." are located and why they appeared during the self-dialog in Rheims' house?

The dialogue that @Calico Jack has in the first post is what you get when you click on the new "Talk to Self" : You shouldn't get that option in Rhiems' House.
Didn't happen to me on my quest run through in the current nightly issue of the BNH.

How does that work? In the interests of trying to keep Build 14 and Build 15 as similar as possible, perhaps this could be incorporated into Build 14 as well?

Too much effort, not enough time.

I spoke to him in person about it a week ago.
He was with us on the Brigantine Bounty out of Lelystad.

I don't know - It just appeared in B15 a couple of editions ago. You may need to get input from @Hammie.

Hope you had a great time with the tall ships.

I do a bit of both Discord and PA when time allows - been off line for over a month now due to work commitments.
BNH does have updates but I seem to need to include previous fixes in each new edition. @Hammie is obviously busy. Hope he had a great experience sailing on the real thing too.

I haven't done any sailing since 2015 (35" Walker mono hull) did a couple of the winter series races in Morton Bay(near Brisbane in Queensland Australia. I missed the Brisbane to Gladstone race that year due to getting pneumonia after returning from a 28 day straight stint working in the Papua New Guinea Highlands and so lost my spot as it hit me hard and quick leaving not enough time for the owner to replace me. I was the fore-decky so they we light handed and it didn't go well for them. Now 64 years old and 1000km's away I haven't got back into it.

Anyway signing off for now and will keep tabs on the progress here.

Both BNH and MNH uses a differente engine, this engine has a hard time reading the empty self dialog in that particular quest, not sure why, in my version of MNH I just call the next quest node trigger directly when receiving the book.

Hello, here is the bugfix for MNH, should also work for BNH as it is exactly the same file. Let me know if it works!
