Not sure if this is a bug or made this way with intention. In Speightstown there is a house which, when you aproach it's door, takes you to dungeon. There is not icon that indicates the dungeon nor any other sign. You just aproach the door and it takes you to dungeon. Shoud it be that when you press the action key, it takes you to dungeon? I have seen this in previous versions of the Mod, so maybe the creators wanted it to be like that, I'm just pointing...

Would that be the maltese abbey? It does stuff like that in the caves and church too. Which version are you using?

I believe this is intentional.

I believe this is intentional.

Is it convenient though? I understand the fun behind screwing the player over once in a while, but this is dropping someone, possibly low-level, in the middle of the hardest dungeon in the game out of nowhere. It's a good thing you can get back out, but it could happen by accident. Then you have to sit through two loading screens for nothing while you were just walking around town before.

That might be a stock game feature as I can not remember a time when it was not there. It is easy to escape from and after the swim it kinda sticks in your memory.

I don't think so, especially since the maltese abbey got added in the modpack. If you look at the original the 'oxbay' dungeon (enterable through the building next to the shipyard or the cave right of the docks), it has two different exits: one that can be entered/exited in the way the OP described, and one that's a door and needs to be interacted with first. It's definitely possible to have that door in the screenshot be interactable.

Made a poll to see how people think about it.
The results wont decide what we do tough.

Stay in honour of the modders that went before.
It also serves as another reminder to players that the Abbey exists.
It can be disabled for quest purposes if need be; that already applies to the tutorial, for example.

It should stay. It's just the automatic transiton that i'd consider a problem.
you mean you want it to be clickable?
I always understood it was like falling into some kind of trap which brough you there, not the opening of the door.

That's one way to see it, i suppose. According to the first post though, you go into the dungeon when you approach the door, which would suggest you opened it and walked through it. Having to interact with the door before you enter the dungeon would be better for that.

It is definitely dropping through the floor. I think there is even an onscreen message to that effect after the reload.
Having it manual would make no sense in the context of its original intention. :no

Very well. Forget what i said then. :)

I don't think that it's a bad thing that when you approach it takes you to the dungeon. I just think that it should have lower range of interaction, maybe when you go straight to the door, it takes you to dungeon...

Though I also think that it would be better to have that entrance somewhere behind the church or on a side door of the church... It's the Maltese order still. But that's just my opinion...

There is no Church in Speightstown. :shock

As for the radius, I'm pretty sure it is not larger than any other reload radius.
But you can easily check that visually using the Visible Locators toggle at the bottom of InternalSettings.h.

If you know a better location make a screenshot of it :) and we can see.

Indeed, there is no church. But you can leave the entrance just here, near the port and make it a secret place that way. What do you think?
