I´ve redone the french version. what do you think about??

looks better, but it still has both the maroon and the red in it, thus having both the colour of the spanish and french navy. that really needs to kept apart. but as a skin itself, it's really nice!
 
I can't realy compare the previous French version with the new one; they both look good to me on the screenshots. I actually liked the blue colour near the stern on the previous version. Could we use both? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
BTW: What kind of ship is the ArabellaShip anyway? Frigate?
 
i would say she´s a Lineship with her 52 guns.
she looks like the HMS Mordaunt and this was a Merchantship.

"The HMS Mordaunt was built to perform as a powerful merchant ship. HMS Mordaunt was commissioned for Lord Mordaunt who required an effective merchant ship capable to defend itself against attack. Lor Mordaunt had much hard luck as his investors pulled out before the ship was completed. Following its launch the Spanish Ambassador accused Lord Mordaunt of using the vessel to help the Brandenburg government in its fight against Spain. Under the current political climate, the British court impounded the ship until Lord Mordaunt paid a huge sum to guarantee its peaceful use. In the end the ship was taken into the Royal Navy because Lord Mordaunt couldn’t pay the crew’s salary. The H.M.S. Mordaunt sank in Cuban waters in 1693. It however remains one of the most beautiful ships ever designed for the merchant navy."
 
If she's a merchant ship, perhaps we should come up with a different type name? Lineship suggests that she's a navy ship. Also if she IS to be a merchant ship, we should set <i>refShip.Type.Trade = true</i> and <i>refShip.Type.War = false</i>.

so she was a lineship with only 46 guns in original.

Cool; thanks! Just to make sure: This one is supposed to be used in addition to the regular bow sprit free trader version, not as a replacement, right?

I meant: The Mordaunt is not supposed to replace the free trader ArabellaShip, right?
BTW: I was thinking perhaps "Light Lineship" would be an appropriate class name. What do you think of that?

no i´ve renamed her to Mordaunt so you can use arabella and mordaunt. you must only rename the texture you wish to have, in"hmsmordaunt1".

light lineship sounds good, or heavy trader!
 
Now you mention it, I like Heavy Trader better. The HMS Mordaunt herself can be the Light Lineship then. Thanks. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />
 
I've made them into six seperate ships now:
HeavyTrader1: Regular Heavy Trader
HeavyTrader2: Independent Merchant Heavy Trader
HeavyTrader3: French Heavy Trader
HeavyTrader4: English Heavy Trader
HeavyTrader5: Dutch Heavy Trader
Mordaunt1: Light Lineship
