Amsterdam

Excellent work. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Defnitly an amazing ship! But why are your cannons not loaded?

Thanks Nosie for the picture and above all to mates that created this ship. I took your picture Nosie and do it a little lighter and do some cutout of it. I hope you don´t mind it. As could read Amsterdam was quite a modern ship already she started her career at 1748.
She had Length 48m, Tonnage 700 tons, Crew 191 persons, Armament 32 cannons. She was a property of Dutch East-Indian company. Although there is apparently more cannons on the picture I think it never mind and it´s good so as the ship was more rivalrous and usable in the game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

thats the compass from the stockgame!
Rad, you can edit all you want, but this one is a bit on the 'light' side!

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> Pieter,
Went on a Cruise! Don't need to load cannons for that now do we?!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

i know it's from the stock game, but your range indications look a bit odd. it now has a full circle, and the blind spots are lighter than the rest of it.

Actually, it looks like Nosie widened his arcs to that thye overlap, hence the lighter portion in the overlapping section. He's got turrets on that thing.<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

that should be put on the gunboat and the bermuda sloop. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Her name in the game is <b>Spiegelretourschip</b> if I am not mistaken - although I myself haven't encountered her yet.

What an awful name this Spiegelretourschip! Why? By the way this name sounds very German. Somehow unusual for Dutch ship. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Dutch is similar to German, Rad - at least, from a foreigner's perspective. The German for ship is schiff, I think. About the name itself: it is probably a reference to the name of the type, and possibly its purpose. I did a quick translation - it came out as "mirror return ship". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> Rad,
In german it would read like this: Spiegelzurueckschiff and in english:
Mirrorreturnship. It does not make any sence in either lingo, not unless
the person responceable explains it! However you should find it under that
name at the shipwharf and if you like it in the startmenu insert or replace
Amsterdam in InternalSettings.h <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Nosie, I think start game with this ship would be too easy, don´t you think? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

i don't know what the returning bit refers to, but i think it has something to do with the shipping of cargo when it was actively used. 'spiegel' refers to the back of the ship, which is flat as a mirror, thus called a mirror-ship.

and try it out! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

I managed somehow to have a Corvette surrender to me ! I was only level 4 ...the captain was level three with 1 leadeship.

I was like " o happy days " !!! Until I tried to sail it .....

I sold it a bought my yacht back ....I wanted a brig but was only able to but up to level 5 I think in the ship yard.

I plan on moving up to a Nice Xebec.

I might have to get off realistic sailing . ...orr spend some time killing mummys to raise my levels.

I went and modded the borgia Blade to do insane damage...so when the mummies attack in the " crypt ' or the Dungeon ...you REALLY have to be on your game or its ...you b. DED time.

Now I have to figure out how to make the " treasure " you find worth the effort....

I found it too easy in the start of the game to run in and out of the sewers to gain levels and loot up....so I made it more difficult ..but the loot seems scaled to low level players...so its not worth the effort. At later levels....need something like the treasure finds...I did one quest ( out of four maps only one " worked ' .) . and was set for the game money wise .
My biggest problem was finding enough dudes with cash to buy all the stuff .

How does it relate to topic of Amsterdam? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
