are there more quests then the random qustions and the main quests ?

i hope there are a few more side quests like in the build mod. but i think there are not <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
 
I would imagine there are a few side quests that are outside those mentioned. I wouldnt worry about it to much though id say there will be quite a few user quests going to be made
 
Sea dogs was the best. there were so MANY things to do in that game, and then with the mods.... there truely is no end for that game :p i hope in AOP you can rise the ranks like in Sea dogs..... and marry that french gov's whore :p

I like pre-made quests. They may be always the same, but they have a story. Random quests usually don't have a story at all. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

I thought i read somewhere that each nation was to have their own main story, maybe that was the *wishlist*
 
thats what made sid's new PIRATES! so boring... i beat it so fast and when it was over.... it just got boring.... and the more i played the more repetitive it became. same ship battles. same land battles. same dancing..... just got old to fast :-(....

if AOP is like that, i might as well end all hopes now. cause one thing i hate in games is no stroy.....
 
well i guess its a matter of opinion, thats what i liked with "Pirates!" the freedom to do as one pleased, the only thing i felt it was lacking in was the repeating animations in sword battles and stuff like that, otherwise the gameplay is great fun, i hope AOP will be just as fun, perhaps a little more considering the movement freedom in sword battleds
 
we are working on story line right now. but it hav a slow proggress, because we also working on patches and localisation for EURO release.
 
more game features bzw. more stuff that will make the game better ? sounds good....

@ Gray Angel : hmm could you make some story-sidequests, too ? that were relly good.
...and my idea is that your company could relase a add on for Age of Pirates named like this "AOP:Wild jungles" that adds inland parts to the game, so that you would walk round the isles (and shores) (Many user (will) miss the inland part in the game). It would be really cool if you will do that. What do you think about it ???
 
we are planning to make addon after world release of AoP. with great storyline and new features. jungles in plan too.
 
sounds like just what dev's should do. give people the "basic" game then have an expansion with all the side stuff :p

i'd still pay for two copies no matter what. :)
 
We do have a storyline, and although it's shorter than in PotC, it does involve heaps of treasure and some rather nasty fights, and is definetly bigger than in "Pirates!" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Also, our range of random missions is quite larger than in "Pirates!" too, so you won't be bored.

Seems liek Akella out tayloring things, is there a new main storyline or not?

Also seems like you held things back (jungle, Storyline) so you can pump out another expansian!
