My BuildSettings.h file doesn't contain the following lines after the Update:
LOC_CAMERA 0 //set this to 1 to `re-enable` moved camera in doorways  
SHOWHP_PLAYER 1 // show HP text (i.e. 65/128) for player  
SHOWHP_OFFICERS 1 // for officers  
SHOWHP_OTHERS 1 // for other characters

I believe that is the reason why so many people have had a problem starting the game after the update:
When I corrected this problem the game runs fine.

Guys to fix it just add these line in the BuildSettings.h file just below the compass skin entry:

You're welcome, but I couldn't have found the problem without using scheffnow's POTCModHelper program.

So kudos to him for making a very useful troubleshooting tool :huh
 
`2004-05`-01: The second update for the PMT Build v11 is availiable.

All updates of build 11 can be downloaded and installed from within the installation packages. Please note: It's not necessary to download the huge packages again. Just start the already downloaded package again and select the update component only. If you use a localised version of PotC you have to select it in the installation packages, too.

  • LAi_Utils.c.it had a typo
  • fix zo item logic (open boxes) so no combat
  • no one sees you steal.
  • fixed inititems (the _normal_ weapon inits) to use new models.

      • HP text above NPCs can be individually toggled

Downloaded the update myself again, BuildSettings.h does contain this lines.But noticed that I forgot to upload the update to the second server and to include a BuildSettings.h for localised versions of PotC. Uploaded a new update. Sorry for this. Please `re-update`. I also noticed that the update does not work always if your computer uses a proxy server for http. It works after a while, but not immediately after the upload.

hey if there is two updates that i HAVENT downloaded yet, when i use "Updates" thing with the bird, it WILL download BOTH updates right?

Oh, no! How could you think? The bird will try to download the first one for about 632 minutes. After that the second update is probably downloaded, too.
:cheers To be serious again: The update function just downloads a single file with a hard coded name every time, so always the latest version is downloaded.

BAD THING after update:

You hear "make sail, aye, aye" and "strike 'em down, aye aye" and every other sounds of the ship always in the same volume (doesn't matter how far the camera is away from ship).

This is not a good thing, and therefore should be changed again. Or at least someone tell me how I can fix this myself, please.
