Build 14 A so far

that's an awesome story... I'd even say it could be cool to script in some random stuff like that. provided that you could get out of it without reloading of course...
 
whatever it was, it was a pretty cool experience =D


oh and here's another one on my navy character, I captured this 44 gun frigate that looks a lot like a man of war, it seems to be relatively fast and maneuverable more so than the stats say, and the lil box image for it, ya know the one you see at the ship yard, your inventory and on the bottom left of your screeen? it keps changing every time I go out to sea, sometimes it's blank, sometimes it's just the sea, sometimes it's a schooner, sometimes it's grape shot, no joke about the grape shot box. anyways it's a cool ship, I put it in birthing, gonna rp getting command of it once I make a high enough rank that it would be in character for me to have it. right now my character is a commander so it makes sense for him to have surprise.

aye the sea is full of many strange and mysterious occurences. >.>

and I will do she's a lil shorter than she is supposed to be, I need another hull piece, however, I can't help that, I've only owned one skulls eye schooner in my day >.> she's also got two stern chasers instead of one simply because the alternative was to have to put the stern chaser really high up cause of how the hull piece is made and it would have really screwed up the demensions of hte boat. also the accomedation ladder is aft of the second gun and I didn't have room for the chimney for the gally stove due to the lack of length and I suppose the bow sprit could be a lil longer than it is, but I think you'll still be able to recognise what the ship is and all <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
 
i think i'll give a shot at it as well. and i have ropes which i can attach in any place i want. i greatly enhances the look of the thing. note: don't expect any color scheme. i don't have enough of the same color to make a proper one. i plan to make the hull from scratch, although i do have hull pieces. the hull pices are simply too high. pity that i don't have enough cannons though.

WOW! Great job! I remember my ex-stepbrother used to do some cool stuff with ships in lego when I was a kid! then I used to bug the heck out of him, and he'd do something else. oops. I wonder how he's doing now...

thanks guys. I'm very detail oriented, it's too bad I don't have any training with a 3d modeler. I did the best I could with this here boat, I think it'd be close to perfet if i had had another hull piece or mabye two. I think I can say Idid the best I could with this one though <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
 
if you're interested in 3D modelling I can toss you some tutorials that I've been collecting. *So far* it hasn't been really all that hard at all. just let me know if you are interested.
 
i don't heave even close to the amount of parts that i need. the problem is that you can't find the stuff anymore. if i would make one it would be two or three times smaller.

edit: btw, is there a way to easily modify what room is loaded for the captain's cabin of a particuilar ship? how about the deck?

cause it'd be cool if I could set it so that the captain's cabin for the surprise is the same as the one for the brig vs the one it is now, it actually looks like the one for this ship here let me get a screenie. also, it'd be cool if we could use the actual ship's deck for the deck view instead of the beat up burning deck thingy that is currently used by default =)

btw today, without any cheats or anything, Itook on an entire fleet of 8 class 1 war ships, 4 of wich were 100 gun man of wars with the surprise and won =) only sank one of htem though, the rest surrendered. I just stayed on way out on the edge so only one ship was in range, they take forever to reload and even longer to turn, so wasd just a matter of attacking one on the edge till it surrendered, and then rushing in and boarding it, and upon taking it over, ordering surprise to flee and then just repeated the same process with the man of war till they all su rrendered except one battleship that sank. this was on default setting for surrender, wich if I recall is by default the most difficult setting, however my over al lgame play setting is set to easy, I think I'm gonna need to increase the difficulty with my next character ^-^

hehe...that's good but not good enough! i managed to defeat 7 manowars and 5 battleships in a single convoy with a pirate corvette! it was fairly straight-forward after i boarded the first manowar. that was the hardest part. from then on, it was simply stepping over to the next ship in the huge jumble of collided ships.

that's a massive site by the way. so many links, so little time!
 
those corvettes are so pretty =) I like the MM one, I captured one today, don't think I'll ever sail her as I got surprise and my man-of-war, but I stuck her in birthing just to have one.
 
i like the pirate corvette better. it's a mixture of really dark but still recognisable colors. what's more, there are only two in the entire game. (although i have once encountered one when pirate hunting)
 
fraid not <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> I actually never even finished the story quest before going to this here mod. I pirated the game and was pretty glad I had cause i didn't care for it, too much was lacking as far as realism and such. but before I uninstalled it, I checked for mods, and found this one, and now I'm hooked.

so really, I've only been playing this game a week or so now.
