Build 14 Problem...get kicked out everytime I switch to the NavMap

Ok; I've included that in my game now, so it'll be in the next patch too. Let's see what happens. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
I have not found any other code that adds <i>.replacewith</i> attribute, so just this should do.
Have you got ANY idea why those unique blades are still showing up randomly, though??? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

It seems only to apply to blade18-1/blade18. I put to sea and just sat that for a week or so while the Merchants were updated and that's the only glitch I encountered. I've got some monstrous compile.log files if you're interested in checking them out.

But then what's different about blade18 compared to the others? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

You'll see the French Admiralty Rapier on random bad guys. You might find other uniques in dungeon item locators; I found the Portugese officer's sword in the cave. I haven't seen any others anywhere. Nothing in boxes, nothing for sale. Of course, I have the weapons mod turned off so that might make a difference.

Where are you finding this stuff, Pieter?

I'm finding them on random bad guys. If they're found in caves and such, that doesn't really matter.
But I don't want to see unique weapons on random bad guys. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

I've never seen anything but that one sword on random bad guys, and certainly none of the other unique weapons. Are you sure you've seen other unique swords in that case? We can fix that case if it's the only one you see.

I've seen several. This was in the Bartolomeu storyline, default settings, late in the game.
I encountered the Nicholas Sharp blade several times, but also French Admiralty Rapiers, a shotgun once and some others too I think.
Seemed to me as if the whole "Unique" mod was doing nothing at all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Time to start a new game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> I haven't seen the shotgun in quite a while, where I used to see them a lot.

I'm sort-of hoping I started that Bartolomeu game before I added your <i>rare = 0.00</i> modification and that explains why I still saw them.
Not sure though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I don't think I've ever seen the Nicholas Sharp saber. I did get the Atwood sword after getting a LoM from Silehard. I typically use it to see of the blocking is balanced when I'm trying different calculations, which I'm still working on.

We probably should have a toggle on the unique swords so that they're simply very rare. The rest of the code for rare stuff seems to be working correctly.

At the moment they ARE just really rare, which is <i>not</i> intentional. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

In my game, there are NO unique items showing up anywhere. I have yet to see the unique swords anywhere, except for the French Admiralty rapier, which can be fixed. It looks like your unique code is working.

In that case....<!--quoteo(post=313518:date=Apr 15 2009, 07:44 PM:name=Pieter Boelen)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pieter Boelen @ Apr 15 2009, 07:44 PM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=313518"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I'm sort-of hoping I started that Bartolomeu game before I added your <i>rare = 0.00</i> modification and that explains why I still saw them.
