Can tell me about AOP and COAS?

Ahoy mateys,

I have thought about roaming in a new sea world, and I have read a few about AOP and COAS.
Tell me about these games, I will choose one to take and try.

AOP is the older game and was never very good. It is no longer supported here.

COAS is a good game. Think of it as POTC on steroids as it is based on a newer version of the Storm engine than POTC. This makes it better in many ways, like it uses DX9 instead of DX8 like POTC. On land it is absolutely better than POTC and it used to be better than POTC at sea too, but in the last 2 years a lot of work has been done and POTC is now better than COAS at sea.

With the ERAS mod COAS has many characters to choose from and many storylines, as well as many good quality ships so you will never get bored. It has a lot to offer.

COAS is sometimes a Diva, POTC is always a friend
