1)<u>Captain Python's Tactics</u>
Here is another update on Captain Python's Articles, the Article "Multi Ship Tactics" ( <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.net/content/view/267/34/" target="_blank">http://www.piratesahoy.net/content/view/267/34/</a> ) is out, and ready to read. As I looked at the how many hits each article was getting, and out of the second release of 4 articles, the "Making a "Sea Rover"" semes to be the most popular out of those four. Then next article will be "Choose your Weapon!"

2)<u>Insanity, Should it Count in a Court of Law?</u>
I was watching Ron White, and he made a good point. This one man was convicted of killing 3 people, and just before they were going to kill him, a few people came up ON HIS BEHALF, saying "He's too crazy to know we're killing him." <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":|" border="0" alt="mellow.gif" />
Depending on your policies of life, if someone kills somebody, sane or insane, shouldn't they all be treated in a court of law? How would you feel if someone killed someone close to you, and they said that they were crazy when they did it? I think the exeption would be if the person who did it was known to be mentally retarded. But for even the mentally retarded killed someone, there must be some reason he did it? People just don't kill for no reason at all. Usually it is because of jealousy, hatrid, greed, or dominance, revenge, or things related to that. What do you think?

3)The Election
Personally, I think the Election is getting out of hand. I am getting to the point were I don't care. I may be Republican, but both sides are overdoing it, don't you think? The majority of television seems it's pro Democrat and bash Bush and the Republicans. Not to offend, but John makes a lot of promises, and I have never heard once on how he is going to take care of all his promises. ENOUGH WITH VIETNAM, WE KNOW!

1.) GREAT, I am looking forward to this new article!

I have to say again that your articles are really very good - and add much to the site. Congratulations and thanks again! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

2.) I think there usually is a reason for killing - murder, anyhow. It's difficult to make a decision on the Death Penalty in regards to someone claiming to be or actually "insane", but the insane plea doesn't always work - it's difficult to prove and full of such variables - one doctor's opinion may not necessarily match another's. There's no real "standard" to measure by, even tho the doctors attempt it anyhow.

3.) I'll say it again. I haven't been happy with the choice of candidates for the presidency of the US since 1976. I will vote my party as I have done always, but I can't say I'm entirely happy with my "choice".

1. Looking forward to it.
2. Look no futher than the golden rule, kill the wretch, kill and be killed i say.
3. A country boy can't be wrong. Did you see the way Kerry held that shot gun? I'd put my money on Catalina in a fire fight. I'm going for Bush.

1)<u>Addictive Games</u>
I have been playing the game Civilization 3 lately. I haven’t played it for 6 months, and it is still addictive. I got into it so much, I got the expansion pack “Conquests.” I have played it so much; my eyes are blood shot by the end of the night. What makes this different from any other game that we have for Piracy is that each game in Civ. 3 is different, and each has it’s own difficulties. Also, you can play a different tribe each time, so you can have different challenges each time.
Do you have a game that is addictive like this? Post about it.

2)<u>Stall on Articles</u>
I know I said I would work another article, but I thought I would take a break, and maybe do some work after Labor Day. But when I do go back to work, I will have a rush of articles like I did before.

3)<u>Pirate of the Month</u>
Finally, after so many months, I finally won. Of course, I wasn’t competing with others that have over 1,000 posts, but I thank you all.

4)<u>Things to Look Forward to</u>
That time of the year is approaching again, the end months of the year. The months of September, October, November, and December seem to mark one of the most busy and important parts of the year. Let me outline what each month has:
September, You have Labor Day Vacation and you send kids back to school.
October, Halloween has most people living in neighborhoods with kids buying candy.
November, Thanksgiving has someone buying a lot of food and a Vacation to visit family
December, Christmas gifts for your immediate family and the occasional friend of relative, and New Years Day
Lets make a list of what we just spent money on:
-School Supplies and Paying for School
-Anywhere from 1 to 4 vacations
-Big amounts of Candy
-Big amounts of Food (probably a lot of expensive food)
-Toys for kids if you have any to give gifts to
-Any kind of item that can be a gift
-Gas money (to get and do all the stuff above, and you probably used twice as much gas as you usually would, and right now it is really expensive)

This is why this is the time of the year people are spending the most money in a year. Depressed on the idea that you might go bankrupt over the holidays? Also, did you know this is the time of the year people commit suicide the most? That is due to that many people don’t have family to spend the holidays with.

While we look forward to that, in the Pirate Media World, we have how many games coming out? Also, over the next two years, we will have more games coming out and two new movies for Piracy coming out.

My message is that, for those who still are in school and with their parents, remember to go easy on your parents because they are trying to make you happy and not go broke at the same time. And for those adults, remember that even if you are almost going broke, that it’s a common part of life and you are going to make many people happy at the same time.

1.) Heh, addictive games... I keep saying that I am not really a gamer - and I'm not, not really... But the games I have played were chosen carefully. If it doesn't grab my attention in an intellectually fun (or twisted) manner, I usually don't go past the demo version. To this end, I haven't really even tested that many but one that got past me and died - which may surprise people - is Port Royale. I really thought that one was going to be like Uncharted Waters, but it disappointed me greatly.

Speaking of Uncharted Waters, THERE is the measure, to me, of an addictive game. It came out in 1992 for the Nintendo system (the first one), and a friend got it. I saw her playing it and was hooked... I *still* have my original NES deck and that game (which is incredibly rare, I'm told). I have just (well, several days ago) started a new game - I've played this `graphics-simple` but incredibly deep game ever since I got one of my own waaaay back when. It looks to be on the surface a simple goods trading game done with ships in the 1500's, but it's more than that, it's sailing around the world discovering things, making your fortune, and sometimes having epic sea battles.

The `follow-up` game to this, Uncharted Waters, New Horizons, is even more fun - the graphics are still pretty simple, but it's amazing the things one can do with a mere pixel. There are more storylines than the original (which was only one), and many different things to do, from mapping and discovering new things to seeking revenge on old enemies, to starting from nothing and eventually earning the respect of sultans and wealthy bankers, to protecting the helpless from evil, Again, simple graphics but engrossing storylines with a degree of difficulty that can keep you glued to your monitor for HOURS...

I could go on about other games that have had me riveted to my computer, however I don't want to hog all the posting space and I have things to do...

I do, however, want to congratulate you once again, Captain Python, for making "Pirate of the Month" - FINALLY! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> As I mentioned before, it's `well-deserved`, and PA! is lucky to have ya on board! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
