Need Help CoAS Quest

Hi guys, I've been stuck on this part for an annoying 3 hours, when I exit the tartarus to swim to the Diffinder (During the Hurricane) I keep getting pushed by the huge waves, it's getting really annoying and I just can't do it. Guides that say to swim right aren't helping at all, it's impossible when the waves are pushing you everywhere. How do I complete this quest?

EDIT: I actually messed with the debugger and was able to get out of that damned city. SET COURSE FOR PORT ROYAL!
