Solved Crash when boarding cargo hold

Playing Build 14 full with ENB graphics. The game is crashing consistently now during boarding actions when I go below into the cargo screens. If I stay perfectly still and allow my crew to fight without my help...no crash.

This was not doing this earlier in the game. Could this be character or model based? I have been changing my own and party members uniforms around. Also my computer is a 16 core with 10 GB of RAM unbelieveable speed and the best AMD chipset available AND the AMD overdrive maximized. So I don't think its a hardware problem.

Any tweaking advice would be appreciated. Its not gamebreaking, because I can still get through the battle - I just cant take part below decks. Still though...I would rather help out.

Thanks

MK

HI MK

It's could be a model problem........double sided triangles interfere with the camera & cause CTD's, but having said that, nobody else has reported the problem yet :shrug

Cheers
damski.

well, another person said that a save rendered only a motionless onlooker in a fight, without CtD though. Then trying merely stepping on the jetty with the same slot left us there standing still. When you start again with any other previous game-saves you are alright once more. Until now has this trick been achieving to clear away all running-up obstacles.

Note to MK: with that SF-PC of yours the space&time fabric gathered for a shrugging shoulder small-talk and fish propelled themselves to ey Beer and Popsound disco.

..you wouldn't probably need a boost of that chip, saying this with an articulation what might suggest a scratching of one's scales and gills. Maybe have you forgotten a few additional milli volts for the professor to be able doing its calculations. Try again using another save, defrag the system you lazy lot and wait for a proper answer from this here strange bunch of lousy specialists. ..just sayn.

..have to read those specs again. Either has me pumpkins on the goggles or his spell-checker writes stories when he is fiddling with other people's mind. An average beverage of malt svp. *tentacles snippeeeen :nerbz hat-rasping* :doff

It's not a hardware problem, although I am curious about your frame rates. I have a quad core with 8gb ram and an ATI card, and no matter if it is cranked up to max or dropped to minimum it gets 60fps by land, 36fps by sea which dribbles down to 9fps under heavy load. :nerbz

The consistent ctd when boarding sometimes happens. This game is a snowflake, not a factory clone. :j2 Sometimes this issue cures itself. Sometimes starting a new game cures it. And sometimes a new install is needed. :j3

Is there anything in the error logs. :?

I have been playing with changed appearances for my officers without any problems during boardings - ( I don't have ENB enabled )

Changing the appearance of the Crew boarding models - always used to cause problems- not sure if that is still the case as I don't alter those.

is occurring like that, you toggle off icons via F9 and the numbers for cannons remain. Start the very same save and all is fine. - Could someone make a programmer from Bethseda interested in those more stranger then wierdos owfantrick, historically authentic models of the ...have you seen the little chandeliers in a Guadeloupean bar, mephinks? get your streamers on the iPads. Lol or wot. Mankind so madski. So, seagulls on the railing? a concerto, anything not from pop stations. Ahh, thats mooch beta.

I wasn't actually paying attention. I will make certain to run the loggers Talisman.

I changed everyone back to the older uniforms. It didn't improve things. Now the game crashes anytime I try to exchange uniforms or weapons with my officers in the captains cabin. Also, strangely enough, a sail and rigging will appear in the captains cabin draped over half the cabin, its coming through the wall and the lines are terminating in the desk. Weird. I think I will start a new game. I had finished the Hawk quest and the Animist quest. I was going to work on some of the smaller ones I hadn't completed yet. Oh well.

I was wondering if the Maltese knight was causing the problem. Is he supposed to leave at some point. He has just stayed with me even though the quest is over and offers no dialogue. Also the captured Animist monk is also among my passengers. What do I do with him. I thought maybe some of these extra guys were causing the problem. I had Ex-Governor Sliehard on board for awhile, but he jumped overboard.

Doing things in the Captain's cabin can be touchy. It is best to only do business there just before leaving port.

The sail and rigging appearing in the cabin should be pretty rare and is associated with boarding battles. Something in the Graphic Anomalies triggers it.

The Maltese knight is yours forever. He has never caused me any problems and I change his clothes to make him look like he has gone native.

You captured an Animist monk? How? Where? When? I have never done that.

I have never managed to get Silehard to Port Royale. He's a slippery devil.
