Just logical thinking. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Well, he'd provide food for years once you run out of wheat and rum! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Emergency supplies: Silehard under the cook's knife! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Whats for dinner? Annoying, overly pompous and big headed fat guy? My favourite! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" />

Fried wig with Uncle Hawk's Silehard Salami. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Recipe: First take a Fat, Pompous English governor. Add pepper to make him sneese to annoy him. Leave in cargo hold for 13 days. Once taken out, chuck overboard and haul back in with a fishing net. Repeat as many times as neccessary. DO NOT let a shark eat him, because it will cause severe cholestoral poisoning to it. Next, skewer on a pike and let the meat simmer for 10 minutes. Be sure to take the powered wig off, to use as a sidedish later. See if the size of clothing can fit around killer whale for a laugh or two. Then, once cooked, separate the fat from the meat. This may take sevaral years, so dont be afraid of a long wait. Once done, use a basic steak recipe for the tastiest dish. Garnish with pieces of grated wig, and serve on a plate of bone marrow. For dessert, try a dish of ice-cream like blood, with some pickled eyeballs. This dessert is best for those cursed by Aztec coins. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Who's Stone-D...ive heard nothing about him <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Stone-D was our Prometheus. He did some of the first mods for POTC, and made scripting look very possible (certainly he's who fired my interest in POTC coding).
He re-enabled (and fixed) surrendering, he improved all aspects of (sea) fantom generation--skills, cannon, starting HP and SP, goods & ammo, etc., he allowed all passengers to appear on the Characters sheet, added the Sell All buttons to the store and itemtrading, etc., allowed Shared Experience to be applied to all passengers/companions, etc.
And then his computer died, and about then he disappeared. Popped back up a couple months later but left again after only about a week.

Plus his command of English was rather...vibrant (read his code comments for a laugh).

All of those mods I like, except the surrender one. When you have a good ship, its annoying you cant have the fun boarding other ships, and there arent really any class 1 pirate ships. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> He sounds like a great modder. Its a pity he didnt stay.

There aren't any class 1 pirates because it's set so that the highest class a pirate can be in 3, I think. That's the default in BS.h <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I know, I kept that as 3 and mainly encountered class 2s so I thought Id turned it off.

Odd. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> It should keep them at a max of 3. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

<!--QuoteBegin-NathanKell+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(NathanKell)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Ayup. GreatZen's skill items.
I hesitate to say this, but I've been considering ways to _force_ you to pick it up. Like, you don't, and then it magically appears in your inventory, or a crewman comes up and says "you forgot this, cap'n!" or something.
{text: "It's bad luck to find a dead albatross, as every sailor knows. Now, how can you get rid of it?"}
Do I smell a job for...Sneaky Trader?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->Now THAT's a REAL fun idea!!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />

BTW: If you have Alan Smithee's new apothecary installed, you can trade the Albatross with him for a jar of leeches. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Ah, neat! Was hoping somebody'd figure out a way to get rid of it.
Regarding MAXPIRATECLASS. It defaults to 2; but in the same block are MAXMERCHANTCLASS and MAXCOASTGUARDCLASS, which are 3 and 2 respectively, so that's probably where you saw the 3.

In the Build, if you keep Silehard and sail about too long before heading to Redmond, he can escape - will jump ship and swim away. I always try to sail FAAAAARRRR away from any land while heading to Redmond. Don't know if that makes a difference, but I've usually kept him. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Heh... He DID learn to swim (eventually) in the UNsynchronized Gubernatorial Marathon Swim Sessions hosted by me in the shark-infested waters around Oxbay:

(You're right, Silehard isn't getting the whole thing, as you can see) <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />
