Well, i downloaded the patch for Alpha 9.5 and played through the Jack Sparrow quest again. When Becket burned the wicked wench and i woke up on the Island, there were 2 Davy Jones, one came over to talk to me, the other stood. Then when he game me my new outfit, there were two of Jack. The player is jack in the dreadlocks, and then slightly back and to the left is Jack in the hat and coat, and he does everything you do, turns when you turn, and follows you around the game. I went to a new area and he was still there and i was still in the old outfit...
 
yep, i have this same strange bug too... and when you go to sea to the black pearl, the game crashes...

Please post here once you tried this. Hopefully it works.
Theoretically you shouldn't need to start a new game for this, just reload from a save prior to the Davy Jones scene.
 
it worked... there was one sparrow and one jones... but after i finished talking with jones it kicked me out from the game... BAM! i found myself looking at my wallpaper instead of continuing the game... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" />
 
Did it work in Alpha 9.5? Does anyone remember...? Or was the storm scene bug just preventing that part from working <i>at all</i>? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
I tested it and it worked just fine. And i am not having the same crash issue that you are having Free Bird. It worked in 9.5 and for me it is still working, no problems yet, i just joined forces with barbossa.
 
Maybe it matters if you take the Billy Brock or Sir Christopher Mings route? Could you both post which route you used? Just to be sure... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
i took the brock route... and when i retried it didn't crashed... i joined the forced with barbasso too... that's why my replies are being late <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> searching for pintel and regetti recently... do we have to find them?..
 
For now? No, you don't need to. You do need to once the quest is extended to include AWE, of course.

On the Pintel and Ragetti matter, they dont actually look like them yet <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> (still waiting for their models) but can be found in Tortuga somewhere

In the next update (I hope) there will be a whole lot of sidequests in the LoJS storyline which will include some familar faces (giving you the heads up about it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />)
 
Sounds cool! But i ran into another double problem. I made it to the Isla de Muerte and found the treasure. Then barbossa told us to leave. When it comes to the point where he mutinizes and throws you off, we have the conversation, then when it ends, there is a loading screen, then i am still on the Black Pearl, it is day time, and there are two Jacks again.

Btw, i found pintel and ragetti and they seem to be working fine <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />

That worked. I went on to Port Royale, got the Interceptor, but Tortuga Fort is still firing at me even when i change flags before hand...

Ok so up to the major problem that we had with the last version again (we still havnt fixed it but should in the near future hopefully)
Have you tried searching for Captaine Chevalle yet (always cool to meet a pirate lord <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />)
 
it seems as though the storyline is really thourough and long ( which is good cos i was scared i would come to the end where it wasnt finishd)
however i just got out of jail , after looking for petros, and i have to meet up with the rest on the turks.,..i dunno where..please help...i am playing mings by the way..

Your not allowed to be thrown in jail at the moment (we havn't linked that part of the quest yet)
When you sail to the bay do you get Gibbs telling you something? Cause if you dont talk to the people in the tavern again before sailing to the bay
 
yeh i did that and gibbs talked to me...i told t=him to stay by the boat and i went to the ouse which petros is meant to be in..it then took me to jail and then capn dorey(cant remember exact name) told me that the lads have made a diversion and we need to meet up with the rest of the brotherhood on the turks i went on his ship but there is nothing at the turks no lead, or at least there doesnt seem to be..
