Ugh. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

My fault for not checking it in GMViewer more closely. I've uploaded yet another version which isn't flipped. The weird thing is, that railings would stay flipped whether source file was flipped or not. I had to merge them with unflipped model and then delete it, which is my old remedy for fixing all scale/location mismatches. Remember when I first posted my <i>Pearl</i>? I had such mismatch problem. Apparently, wrl file kept some hidden coordinates from every object, despite the fact that I've set them to 0,0,0 in 3DMax. Sigh...

The textures are fine now.

Gee, I don't know how to say this .... but ... but the railing elements are flipped/reversed along the x-axis, left /right, port / starboard. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
[attachment=1333:fleut_rails3.gif]

Perhaps we could get them as separate elements?

In the future, just say it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I can take criticism.

I'll get to work.... again.... as soon as I'm back home <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

For example: It was much bigger, the normals were flipped or it was somehow deformed. The solution was to reset the X-Form in 3D Studio MAX. Perhaps the same needs to be done here?

Maybe... When I did it, it indeed ende up with flipped normals.

So, fleut railings, take four. This time I'm sure... reasonably... they're right. At least they're not flipped and not reversed in GMViewer <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I guess I'm now the "Official Rail Inspector" making sure rails are up to "Ship Building Safety Code" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I'll get right on it!

okay, everyone: yaaaaaaay. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> ok, seriously now, they look good! now, how about that helmpole? although i would understand you'd leave it after all this. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Brilliant! Thanks a lot! The correct position is NOT (0,0,0) then? Just checking; I think Kazeite originally said it should be... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Good job with those ..railings! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> ..yes that's right ..RAILINGS! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

I put the railings on all fleuts now. Excluding the Fleut of War and the Dutch Fleut, because these have a somewhat different model. Can the railing be added to those as well?

Really? Fleut of War looks the same to me, but I'll look more closely. And, what's the name of Dutch Fleut? I couldn't find it in ships subdirectory <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Regarding locator, I did set them to be centered on 0,0,0, but it might've change during all those crazy flipping and rotating... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I suppose I could add a helmpole too, but I kinda don't know how it's supposed to look like <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Petros' coordinates work correctly for the ordinary Fleuts. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
The Dutch Fleut is the "Fleut4_50". I put the railings on there, but indeed there they are not positioned properly. Probably all that needs to be changed are the coordinates. But I'm not going to experiment with that. This lazy git here will just wait until somebody else comes up with the correct coordinates. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

No, actually the 0,0,0 never worked, not even the first time.

Just so you guys know, I had to find, and then readjust the numbers with every new model correction.
That was so I could get those screen shots.

Good thing the GM viewer and Tool usually like me.

"Fleut4_50" is based on Fleut2

There might be slight differences between Fleut1 and Fleut2 other than the Figureheads.

I'll have a look later and find the correct coordinates.

Also, the Light Galleon "Fleut50" will need them as well.

The railings work fine on Fleut1, Fleut2, Fleut3, Fleut3_44 and Fleut50. Not on Fleut4_50. That one has a stern flag the same as the FleutOfWar34G for which the railings don't work correctly either. Are you SURE you based the Fleut4_50 on the Fleut2? I know the FleutOfWar34G is indeed based on the Fleut2 (uses <i>almost</i> the same texture as well), but from what I see, the Fleut4_50 is based on the FleutOfWar34G. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I recently changed all my Fleuts to use the FleutOfWar34G model as well, but returned them to what they originally were today. I had wanted to add the stern flag to all the fleuts. But the Fleut4_50 always did have that stern flag as far as I remember.

Life is stranger than fiction. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I made the Fleut50 (Light Galleon) before I made the Fleut4_50 (Dutch Fleut).

I based both on Hawks work to use some cannon locators and the stern flag.

Other that the skins, I don't remember doing anything different between the Galleon and Fleut. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Now this is strange. I'm not sure what hull model you are using for the Fleut50 in your game because I find that indeed, both "my" fleuts in Build 13, need the railing set a little higher by the same amount.

I knew they were equal!

Has your Light Galleon hull been replaced by someone?

I just checked and you are right: The Fleut50 hull must somehow have been replaced. I see the crew walking <i>above</i> the deck, which proves it was originally based on the FleutOfWar34G. I don't know how it happened; I might even have done it myself by accident. But I AM going to reset it right now. Do you know the correct coordinates for the railings for the Fleut4_50 and Fleut50?
Edit: I reset both folders to their original Build 13 state and everything seems correct now. Both use the FleutOfWar34G model. I have not yet added the railings, because I don't know the correct coordinates. I do seem to notice the crew walking above the deck ever so slightly, but not quite as bad as before when the Fleut50 was using the wrong hull model.
