Endeavour

LOL. Nice to see you again, Razor! It would be nice if you could make those cannons black or something, because they really are wooden. Also: Could you do with the ship's stern ensign what Commodore John Paul Jones suggested <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=10917&view=findpost&p=214953" target="_blank">here</a>? Also the ship is the only ship in the game with no bow and stern chasers. Do you think these should still be added, or should we keep it as-is?

hi plz im new here can you help me.

i dont know where to download the endeavour model and how to set it up to my potc game.

plz help

Welcome to the forum! The download page is <a href="http://hosted.filefront.com/000razor00/" target="_blank">here</a>. You can try to install it yourself, but you can also wait until she is included in a stable game version.

Nothing has been done on the Endeavour since last time. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

i've got some photos of the victory. here they are:

<img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s208/morgan_terror/P7200042.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

<img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s208/morgan_terror/P7200040.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

<img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s208/morgan_terror/P7200039.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

here's a good view of the stern:

<img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s208/morgan_terror/victorystern.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

and here's the figurehead:

<img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s208/morgan_terror/victorybow.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

i might have a view of the deck later, but that might take quite some time, as usual.

ROPES! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> THOSE ROPES! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" />

yes those ships have very much ropes. i'm now working on a plastic model kit of the uss constitution <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />, it is not very big so it is hard to place all those ropes. and now they are all there, i need to figure out how to place the sails between all the ropes <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> in fact the models in PotC need to have much more ropes, MUCH more..

i HAVE a plastic model of the USS constitution. probably the same. if i remember correctly, there's 6 and a half miles of rope on the victory. and not a single rope too many. by the way, i know i've been hammering a little on this, but take a closer look at where you enter the ship.

I have two models of the <i>Constitution</i>. The first is a three foot long model from Revell with something like 2000 parts (not including sails and rigging, blocks and tackles). The second is an inch long model, made of pewter. She's fully rigged... and I shouldn't have done that. It took about a half a week to paint, assemble, and rig her. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Pretty cool stuff there. Great for collecting, dioramas, home-made board games.

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> thats cool, but i think bigger models are cooler.. if i'm finished with this one i'm gonna make the victory <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> !

i'd be more of the kind who'd make a single really big model, or at least one at a time.

yeah me2.. did you know that the victory is still in commission <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> , thats awsome!

The Victory is still in commision which is the reason she is called <b>HMS</b> Victory? And otherwise she'd just be "Victory"? LOL! That's funny! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Makes sense to me.
As it is still commissioned, it is still Her Majesty's Ship, figuratively speaking.

Now if you owned it, you might call it PS Victory ... but then it might be mistaken for "Pirate Ship Victory". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

the silly thing is that they won't put it back in the water because they're afraid it would sink. the planks have shrunk being out of the water.

Nah ..not that big loss for me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />
I'm more into fast and manuverable ships. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

Warship, Battleship and Manowar i agree with Morgan how he calls them ..The Floating Brick! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" />

the Victory's different mate. it's the oldest commisioned warship in the world. it's seen one of the biggest if not THE biggest naval battle in the world and survived, being the flagship of one the the most famous admirals of the time. it's original fore topsail from trafalgar still survives, and i've seen it, along with it's 90 shotholes. apart from that, it was one of the biggest vessels of it's time, although it's pretty small today.

Yeah ..it is compared with those big badass cruise ships or those TANKERS! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
