Expansion Pack

It will be released when it's released and no one other then the PMT know what will be in it.

We had this asked a few months ago and people started to put pressue on the PMT to give updates about it and details about what will be in the mod. They obviously cant answer that as they are still working very hard on it.

I suggest that you just wait for them to announce that it will be released as bothering them for a release date could well end up them abandoning the project like I've seen happen with other mods/games.

They dont even make a patch for this current version.
So why would they make an expansion :/
They most likely make a new game based on the same engine.
 
No, Akella ain't makin it. The Pirates Modding Team, a very exclusive and secretive group of modders are.

I suspect they are secrative because the KGB are telling them too, j/k

No, but perhaps you didn't know about the PMT expansion package which has been long announced and long anticipated.

It's a completely new archipelago with 30 new islands and a lot of stuff they haven't announced. It's not ready yet, they're busily working on it and have been since the release of Pirates of the Caribbean.

The "PMT" means "Pirates of the Caribbean Modding Team".

I heard about it before , infact I thought it would be the new seadogs2 becuase the seadogs2 also has 30 islands and a new ships so am been confused but now it is clear <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> so when did you say it will released ?? Akella's SeaDogs2's RUSSIAN release will be, barring any unforseen problems, in October '04. Not sure about its release for the rest of the world. There apparently are legalities involved - we may eventually get SeaDogs2 but it may be called something else entirely (no, not PotC2!).

So, we'll just have to wait and see. I spoke with a couple of the Akella guys at E3, and this is pretty much what they said. I'm sure they'll tell us when they can.
 
So, it'll be a new game and a proper sequal to Sea Dogs, pretending PotC never existed?

Were they THAT disappointed with how Disney's bastardized version came out, that they want to do better?

They know the fans were disappointed, too... Those who loved SeaDogs were truly disappointed by PotC...
