alright.....this topic was made for questions right? well im gonna see if any of my questions that i need help with are an trouble for you guys....

this one shouldnt be...

in the ships.int file

i set the cursed pearl,black pearl,cursed dutchman,flying dutchman and endeavor buy to true...but whenever i go tot the shipyard in Quebrads Costillas i only see the EITC Ship of the Line which is the Endeavor and the Cursed Galleon which is the Cursed Dutchman and occasionly the Cursed Pirate Ship which is the Cursed Pearl....
those three ships arent always there..but when they are its usually the endeavor and the cursed dutchman and the next day it would only be the cursed pearl.....i never ever see the flying dutchman or the black pearl normal versions....can i fix this...and will i ever be able to buy them....also when i start off with the flying dutchman i never have enought money to repair it all the way and fill up all its crew....can i change this.....thnx
 
have you never noticed the shipyards almost always sell different ships? to a certain limit, true, but they hardly sell the same ship for two days in a row.
 
This may have been asked already, but you said how to cusomize your own flag, but didn't answer the whole question; can you fly a nations flag and yours together?
 
this question should be one of the easiest youve ever been asked...

where can i buy bombs? i really want them....i was a pirate and changed my flag to great britain so i could go to oxbay to buy bombs but they didnt have them and neither did greenford...

any ideas?
 
Bombs are turned off with the Realistic Cannons mod. You can still steal some by visiting the armory in some of the land-based fort, such as the ones in Oxbay and Greenford.
 
i thank you all very much for helping me with my problem...well it happens here and there but not as much as it used to....so THANK YOU...i will no longer ask any more questions about that....

however...i have a question about something that has been bothering me....mabye you guys know how to help me fix it....whenever i ask my officers to build me a building...it is always messed up.....

1.I hate being able to walk right throught the walls and out...and anyone who is in the area can walk through it too
2.wherever i make the building the floor is always messed up (grass, sand, and water alwatys goes through it)


thats all i can tink of for now....in the meantime does anyone have any ideas on how to fix there.....

also i am using build 14 alpha 6 update 2 and im a pirate....but whenever i go to buy a pirate ship at Quebradas Costillas i cant buy any pirate ships?

why?

i tryied going to other ports and maybe to buy them their but they only sell their nation's ships....and only half im actually able to buy because they are "naval" ships

how can this be fixed?
 
i THINK because your level isn't high enough yet. you need to have a certain level before you can access certain ships. naval ships can be accuired by joining that nation and sinking their enemies. just fly their flag and blast away! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> if you return to a governor of that nation once in a while, you'll recieve promotion when your relation with that nation is high enough. join a nation by buying yourself a letter of marque at a governor of the nation you want to join. your relation must be at least -30 or higher.
 
well for the pirate ship i cant talk to the mayor in the town hall because he always says that he is too busy

why is that?

it makes sense for the naval ships but that doesnt explain for the pirate ships because my relation with everyone is hostile but it is neutral (0) for the pirates

any ideas?
 
you can't and don't have to talk to the pirate leader. you should be able to simply buy the pirate ships. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
 
False. You need to join the pirates and have a high enough fame to be able to buy them. The pirates won't sell any of their special fine-tuned ships to any 'ol privateer. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
You can turn off the REALISTIC_SHIP_PURCHASE mod in BuildSettings.h though and get rid of these limitations. They're meant to prevent the player from buying too many uber-ships, especially early in the game.
 
oh, right. that's strange. i was always able to buy them. i think i turned that setting off at some point.
 
i have a quick question....say i play the game and i get really far but i want to change the build settings or the ships.int a little bit, or if i download a different game version onto my current version....do i have to start all over or is there a possible way i can put my changes into effect without starting a new game?
