First attempts in skinning

Ahoy lads!

I tried to begin skinning with a few things, can you tell me what you think about my work? I'd like to get experts feedback <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />

First, a red royal navy flag :

Then, a black and yellow stripes recolored frigate

I made the guns on the deck darker

I reworked the painting on the bow

I there's a few month now that i haven't uploaded something on a ftp but i think i remember how to do i'll probably upload them tomorrow ^^

could you make a white royal navy ensign?
Captain Hawk tried but found that he couldn't do the white X on the Union flag in the corner of the ensign.
seeing how well you did this one, i expect you know how to do it.
 
I've made packages with the files but i can't upload them because of my crappy connection, i'll try later or tomorrow morning, i'll manage to make a white flag lord nelson <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
I've a quite annoying problem with white ensign, the same Captain Hawk had I think, look a the flag appearance! Thats strange because it only does that with the big ensign, if you look at the ensigns at the top of the masts they are good <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" />

I'll try to change the texture i use, but I think it will be hard to make better, i'll try...

I still have problems with my connection <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sleep.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="-_-" border="0" alt="sleep.gif" /> deconnecting and reconnecting <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> I can't upload anything in those conditions <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> and i haven't many time, but i'll make my best to change that flag and upload those files <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

First edit *I've uploaded "YELLOW_N_BLACK_FRIGATE", "DARKER_DECK_GUNS" and "RED_ENSIGN" on the ftp

Looks like i got back my connection, i'll have an hard week-end and i'm off this night but i promise you i will see what i can do with that white flag <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

I really enjoy your flag, mate. Ye think that ye could reskin Portugal's flag to look like the <b>Star Spangled Banner</b> of the <b>United States</b>? It had 15 stars and stripes as of 1813. Thankee, Sir!
Had another thought... What if someone re-skinned the French flag to look like the tricolour of Napoleonic France! That would add a little flavor when I blow em' little Frogs out of the water...

Make square flag . I use gimp .= backround = flagall.tga . my white ensign.tga separate
file copy and paste. now paste is separate layer resize it and anchor it in right place. that is all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Commodore John Paul Jones do you want the red or the white royal navy flag with the us and the french flags (i still have tries to make on the white one, to try to make it better ^^)
