for some reason recenly the game started crashing whenever i board a ship, also it sometimes crashing in the world map.
it starting to be unplayable that way.

also i hope its the right place to post it.

Yeah I've had that problem as well too. Patch 5 appears to be glitched. I myself was forced to revert back to patch 4.

Patch 5 works very well for many people, so it isn't glitched as a whole.

Can you please post your computer specs, and also any error logs generated after the crashes.
To enable error logs, see point 5 of post 3 here.

What jumps out at me is that you have a very power hungry video card and a small PSU. You could be starving your computer for power. This happened to me with a 500watt PSU and a GTX275. It wasn't enough to crash other games but it caused many errors with this one. PotC started running much better when I upgraded the PSU. I now have a 850watt PSU.

I was quite happy with patch 4 and patch 5 seemed to be troublesome at first but is ok now. Are you using the Christmas Ship Pack?

no i dont use this sip pack
do i need this pack to fix this error?

btw i've looked in nvidia website and learned that the recommended power suply for my card is 300W so i dont realy think that this is what brings up the errors.
