by the way could anyone tell how and where should locators be placed ???
 
Is your model finish?? or would you test it first in the game?

For testing in game export to .vrml(wrl97) and import it in the TOOL and save it as .GM load some locators from another ship and save it again and replace a stock model. than you can test it.

without lightning bug its not easy. Try the akella description from MAYA export.

Yes, i do remember that, but the difference between 1 pound and 4 pounds is almost nul compared with the difference between 12 pounds and 18 pounds and go on....actually, the weakest cannons in the game are 4 pounders, right? the damage of the guns are so minimum that we can consider the swivels as cannons in this case ^^ it wouldnt be out of the reality
 
mates i have a question if the bounty was a bark would it be okey if id strip the rigging from an in game bark ???
and abaut her arment should i place all guns on main deck, or should i place them in port's ??

I agree with Thomas about the PotC bark rigging, very ugly....

and place the eight 4 lbs cannons in the gun ports and the "swivels" on deck. If you want to place swivels or cannons, it is up to you, but i dont mind having lots of swivels on deck, instead of cannons <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
 
This sounds great. Do you have an ingame screenshot of the ship? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />
 
Of the top of my head, there are locators for:
cannons (front, back, left and right)
ropes (game engine generates ropes, so you don't need to model most of the rigging)
ratlines (same thing here as with the ropes)
fires (the places where fires start to burn when your ship is hit and starts burning <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> )
masts (masts are separate objects from the ship, in case you didn't know)
and other miscellaneous objects.

So, think about where your cannons, ropes and fires gonna be <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

And... dobra robota, Zareth. Jeżeli używasz Mayi, to jest nadzieja, że rozgryziesz sposób, w jaki Rosjanie eksportowali statki do gry. Której wersji używasz?

Really? You've managed to succesfully place all necessary locators, masts, walk file, etc, tied them into correct hierarchy, and then exported all of this which resulted in model which PotC engine recognises?
 
acualy im still workin on some of them locaros like lights,ropes,sails,flres etc but the model it self worked ingame without them <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
