    After ending quest Pieter Boelen will be in Bonaire Island tavern – and you can hire him

in which Pieter simply isn't there,

I've got 8 Oct main files and 16 November installer files;

I did check quest walkthrough, that's where I learned Pieter can be hired after quest is completed

also, here are .log files, but there's no "error.log" file in my main game directory

well, it seems I raised false alarm

the thing was, after being paid by Pieter i went back to my ship and sailed away too fast, so he got somehow glitched, and when I went back to La Tortue I've seen him running from piers into city once again; but that actually fixed my problem, as after seeing Pieter disappear and sailing back to bonaire I was able to meet him in tavern;

then begins my disappointment, as you can hire Pieter only as a captain of companion ship, oh well, was worth giving it a try anyway :D

Can you give his ship to another officer - then have him as one of your companions?

Nope, can't, at least not without a subtle change of single file, as I do not intend on losing such a great navigator :D and having him as as captain of 2nd warship in my fleet doesn't really fit my style, which is more of a warship + supply ship throughout the whole game

That dastardly Pieter. Never there when you need him! :boom:
:walkplank

SELL my dear "Amsterdam"? And take my captaincy away from me? Evil, evil, evil!!! :whipa

Amsterdam? Hahaha...wow, well better keep the ship then. :cheeky and make him as a bodyguard instead like an escort, guarding your ship from evil pirates
and other hostile ships. hehehe:p

Wait...If I am understanding this..... Pieter... You put yourself as an NPC in the game? xD xD lolololol

In fact, I know exactly why I should NOT do that. Because it would have been most arrogant indeed.
However, fact is that indeed I didn't do that at all. Bartolomeu o Portugues did when he decided to use me as a character for one of his sidequests.
I was in half a mind to rename the character to "Pieter Bloed" or something, but that might have been rather thankless.
But if it had been up to me, there would have been no such character in the game. :no

LOL Pieter i think its AWESOME that your an NPC, alot of game studios do that, Include members of the team as Hidden NPC's or even major Characters :p. It's all in good fun lol
