How much i "respect" the people who liberated themselves of the tirany of the Red Coats, i must respectfully decline...

Serving under a navy flag, any navy flag is not something i fancy much not that sailing in the "merchant navy" is any different concernin' harsh treatment and an iron dicipline...
 
owl is clearly that wherever you go you'll be alone(that you want I presume) because is noone enough good for your *khm*fleet*khm* and in the end you will die in crossfire of British, French and Continental navy(spanish navy is even bigger luser so are excluded, dutch prefer trading)

But you should read more closely, i will sail under Dutch flag most 'o the time i never stated that meself were a pirate 'o such...

I did however come to the defence 'o one such individual so me is guilthy as charged...

Still i will have me own flag and it will either be black or red, depicting the blood 'o the "Red Coats"!

Mayhaps we will someday soon meet, and all i can say to you my opponent is: fight with honour, or do not fight at all...

And one more note 'o interest to ye, i ne'er turned down the "Frog" that was to assist with his frigate or was it a corvette?!
 
ok i apologize for not reading closely your post but rules stays the same, do not incorporate with Frogs or Spanish, leave English navy and english colonies as they are, and we can stay neutral if not allies

btw if you have any intention getin' in war with frogs just say it, i'm in

Concernin' yer offer, i might be inclined to take ye up on it someday should i find meself in too shallow a waters chased by the Frogs as it were...

Mayhaps this is a beginnin' of a "friendship if not alliance, and if not a truce 'o neutrality...

I am hesitant to withdraw me words spoken in haste earlier, but your words do show a sence 'o honour and i salute you...

But please be it known that i hold no love fer the English in me "dark" heart but in me humble oppinion there is nothin' more worse then a Frenchman or a Spaniard...

And spoken so very truthfull, however me doesn't consider us all buccaneers mate...
Even though that "Frog" term is used in a more general way these days...

And i agree with yer feelings about not sailin' under just one flag my friend, me colours depent on the situation at hand...

The Dutch traders and the Spanish Flota are the only prey worth of plundering so Ill stick with the English or the French until I become a fear and master of the Caribbean, hehehe
