L'Hermione Update, Docked in Bordeaux!

Just a quick update on L'Hermione, she is now docked in Bordeaux, France and accepting visitors through October 12'th. According to the data recorded on Marine Traffic, during the last couple of weeks of sea trails she recorded a top speed of 11.6 knots under sail! I have not been able to confirm that speed was under full sail, or what conditions she was running in at the time. Here are a couple of videos from French TV of her arrival I was able to track down on Youtube.

She can do better than that. The ship Post Captain was crewing, the brig Pilgrim, once achieved 14 knots on a clear windy day.

Yeah, I have no doubt when she gets out in open water with a good wind behind her, she will easily do 14 knots, and probably a bit more.
