New Islands Mod

If I don't add in all new ships, it is about ready. So I think I'll release a version today or tomorrow (after I tested a bit myself). And then the other new stuff will be added later.

Well done, sir. Three days shore leave for you.

Thank you, Sir, most obliged <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />
(Dear me, three days ashore? Quite a toll on purse and stamina <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" /> )

Don't worry. It'll be in the new modpack update. It isn't entirely compatible with the up-to-date modpack anyway, so it might crash your game. Not after I added it though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

What would we do without our Great Integrator <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wavarr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":warr" border="0" alt="wavarr.gif" />

Congratulations on the completion of the New World. It is a marvel.

You too, eh? I noticed it too, as did somebody else. I must've made a mistake somewhere, but I don't have time anymore to fix it today. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Did you try to enter Marigot from the sea or from the jungle? Will check. It worked once, so it will be no big problem.

I tried entering Marigot both from sea and from land. Same problem both times. Probably my own fault. I must have done something wrong in the merging. There are a lot of bugs and CTDs at the moment that are probably my own fault. I am going to try and fix them for the next version, but I don't know when I'll have time. Schoolwork is becoming rather busy again. The fact that no error.log files are being generated doesn't help either. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Hmm, I CAN enter and leave Marigot after installing the latest Modpack update. Which means all the location init files etc. in the update are correct, but something is missing.

EDIT False theory deleted, new one below <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

It's probably the foam files Marigot_Port.ini and Marigot_Port.tga.zap . Those must go into

resource\foam\locations\Town_FalaiseDeFleur\port

, but the modpack puts them into Town_FalaiseDeFleur\port2 !
Move them from \port2 to \port and try again. FAIK no new game is necessary

Thanks CCC. Beats me why they are in port2 in the first place. I didn't put them there. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Here is a Stormy Start update that includes the new islands. Unzip both_reaction.zip into program\quests or copy the TWO sections marked "// ccc mar 06 New islands" into your both_reaction.c

Thanks CCC! That's great! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Excellent. Many thanks, CCC.

Cheers, <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

That is working great CCC. Thanks. Are there smugglers on the new islands?

In Screwface's previous Crewmembers on Shore mod, he added a feature where you could encounter random smugglers walking around in town. I never encountered any though. Maybe this only happens if you have the crewmembers on shore mod enabled?

Pardon my ignorance chaps, but in what update does this Sint Maarten/Saint Martin stuff (Marigot, Phillipsburg) appear? I'm guessing it's another 'modpack' rather than simple FTP upload. In which case, what is the optimum way of updating stuff when I have a hodgepodge of Post-Build12 original Feb modpack and selectively added content from FTP (and odd changes I made to flags etc)

I added the 16 March update from the Buildingset on the FTP, and the CCC Antigua files, though I think it may have created a problem as I've had two CTDs sailing near Falaise de Fleur since then (third time was ok though oddly enough). Seemed to find that some of the files from the Antigua set being 'added' were older than ones I already had (possibly from the Crewmember on the shore update), and had less KB in them. Left me rather confused.

The Saint Martin update is included in the latest modpack update dated 18 March. However, this update contains some pretty serious bugs, so I'd recommend waiting for the next version.

All important mods are added to the modpack update, so if you downloaded the latest modpack releases, you should be having the most up to date version of the game. And all stuff that isn't added in yet will be added eventually.

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> there CCC,

Stormy Start for the new islands seems to be working well.

On one occassion I ended up on a St Martins beach and discovered a dungeon (sewers) leading to.... I never found out.... whilst in the dungeon I got mobbed by skellies and I only had a worn dagger <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Great work all 'round there, matey.

Cheers <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
