For all those who feel forsaken here and aint getting answers, since 99% of the PA! team doesnt work anymore on the COAS mods, I proudly forward you to this site: https://buccaneersreef.com/
where you can get help for GOF and download its latest version, which came out 01.01.2015 days ago.
The website there is still in development but it will be soon finished and ready to help all those who need help at COAS questions and want to contribute to its growth, like it used to be here.

    See ya.
    Tuvok out.

#Edited the date of release to be exact.

    Best of luck mate.

To anyone clicking on that link, I would suggest you have the latest antivirus, antispam and antispyware installed on your computer. A good firewall would be a good idea as well.

Wow that mistrust level you put up is examplary for the behaviour towards mk, no wonder he took his stuff down on this site. Why cant we all get along?
This was merely a shoutout to the people who still play COAS, most people of PA! moved on to that new "mumbo jumbo" project that someday in a decade will maybe be released. Its a shame some of you didnt hold your promise of helping him, focusing on a new project instead.

Well for whoever remembers modernknight, he uploaded his new release there and made a new forum for the game and pirate stuff, its focused on COAS and the golden age of sail.

I wish everyone a happy enjoyful day and hope you guys reconcile at some point.

    Cheers.

That is exactly what every single person here would want most.
Unfortunately the answer is right there in your own post:
That right there is a lie, plain and simple. There are no two ways about it. If you do not believe me, this forum's archives are full of proof.
We would very much wish that reconcilation would be possible. But as long as lies like that are being spread by MK, that cannot happen.

I recommend you read this here: http://www.piratesahoy.net/threads/statement-regarding-piratesahoy-policy.22130/
I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you were unaware of the real circumstances and know only what MK has told you.
But I do feel obliged to inform you that we expect you to respond in the future in accordance with our forum rules.

I didnt see anything that was not in accordance to forum rules, I merely put up here a thread to inform the players of COAS, that theres a new mod out there.

Only after Thagarr posted his suspicion about it, I replied to this without trying to insulting anyone here.

I am fully aware of the situation, and i know that theres 2 groups in this confict, I myself have my own opinion, as it is my lawful right to have, but it doesnt mean I want to insult parties that have another opinion than I do.
I simply wanted to share information some may not possess, because theres some people out there who enjoyed the GOF mod very much, and I think they would welcome it, again this was my opinion, if i posted a link to the site where they can download the new version.

This is all away from the main conflict and frankly i dont want anything to have to do with it. It just doesnt concerns me and I have no reason to begrugde any one whatsoever. Since Im a fan of the COAS game, it felt like the right thing to do to share with the rest of the poeple, in the appropriate forum.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Hmmph. I made content for MK and volunteered to help in any way I could, and was rejected.

I still play COAS but will never play eras again.

We appreciate that you post the link here. I sincerely hope that CoAS players can have fun with Eras.

There are no actual problems with your posts; I just wanted to make sure you have all the details.

The warning part is only intended to indicate that we do not want to have any long-winded discussions about this anymore.
As far as we are concerned, the past is in the past and we wish to leave it there.

I would expect that anyone visiting these forums have their antivirus, anti-spyware and at least a software firewall that is up to date. The internet is a very dangerous place and I have stated that opinion many times on this board. I have also posted many links to files that help protect people. Why would you consider it suspicious that I should want people to protect themselves from a site none of us are familiar with? Now, had I posted that I thought the site was a honeypot, or recommended phishing protection, then you might have a reason to be upset, even though you apparently have nothing to do with running that site.

No sir, you are not fully aware of the situation, if you were, we would not be having this discussion. There are multiple aspects to this situation that you have no clue about. There are multiple levels to this forum and you do not have access to those. You also do not have access to the multiple PM's involved by many different people, so you could in no way have the complete story. This is a situation that has been ongoing since 2009, A full 3 years before you joined this forum. This is the only post I am going to make here in reference to this, I highly suggest that you refrain from making all knowing blanket comments such as this.

As was stated above, we have no problem with you discussing GOF or Eras, as long as it is discussed within the rules of these forums.

@Thagarr , while it is right that I personally registered here on 2012, since i wanted to help and not merely lurk around, I was around this site for longer than 2009, you know? Basicly when AOP came out i started lurking on this site, watching and looking weekly at the least, with some breaks here and there. I remember how this website looked before the new one was put up and all the struggle behind that. I also saw the discussions, while not seeing the private ones, I think I still have a right to have my own opinion, while i wont put any more words into it.
Moreover as far as Im aware for the last years I never saw you commenting such a thing on links put up by members, that was the only reason why I posted that reply in the first place.
Its always clear as light that one should have at all times his protection up while surfing his web, even though this site is "http" while mks site is "https", if you worked in IT as i do you would know the difference, I didnt even want to put up this in the first place, but since you posted that reply above, I felt obliged to inform.

I myself am not in the slightest a fan of the build mod, I dunno why but the hours i put into playing it made me shudder in comparison to the base AOP game (That one made me only rage alot on the ctds), so I never learned to love your build mods. But in the end everyone has his own tastes and likes and while one like to stick to the stuff they grew up with, some may want to play the newer pirates games, which is COMPLETELY FINE as were all individuals with our petty own interests and beliefs.

Though should I have in some or another way wronged you, Thagarr, I forward my most sincere apologies towards you.

On other terms, I personally would welcome it, if from now on we could stick to the topic of COAS on this thread and not end up discussing such superficial matters, since i guess people who dont know about the background of it will most likely be estranged by this whole conversation.

The purpose of this thread was for you to inform this community about the new link to MK's Eras mod. As such, it has served its purpose.
It is now apparent that any subsequent discussion on this particular subject cannot possibly lead anywhere good.
As we are all agreed that we do not want that, this thread is now closed.
We still have two subforums available where the topic of CoAS can be freely discussed.

This discussion being continued in public and/or in private will lead to action in accordance to the forum rules.
