Pirates of the Caribbean: Patriots and Emperors

It seems ok to me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I found in my history book a picture of a dutch Patriot Soldier and a dutch "Prinsgezinde" Soldier, I had some spare time, so i have skinned a Patriot (1789) maybe a bit outdatet but a nice replacement for the stock soldier. Check out my site.

I like it! The orange waistcoat is flashy. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Check out my site, i have put a reskin of redmond on it, wich maybe a replacement for Philipsburg, and a reskin for Douwesen to make it more dutch.

Nice work Thomas.<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

Sorry 'bout the lack of activity, school is busy stuff. (Though I'm still working on P&E in my spare time.)

This is my new Napoleonic Civilian, i wanted to make one, because we don

dont have them, so here he is

Wooow eye candy <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Nice Job <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

<img src="http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l68/Thomas_the_Terror/MiddleClassCivilian2.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />
I made a second one

Well, with no wrinkles visible, his coat looks rather featureless now. But that black rim looks very nice to me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Yeah i make him a little better (2nd one) And I have used the navy hats model because the have the right coat, i will be making others. ( and i like the tri corner <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> )

You can try to do a headswitch with Inez's tool. Then you get to keep the coat, but can use a different head. Not all headswitches give good results though. But it's worth some experimenting.

I tried last year, when i wanted to try modeling (tried lots of modding parts before i found skinning) but i didn`t like the effect, for example the apothecary of allan smithee. but i shall see (STILL like my navy hat civilains <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

It was just a suggestion. I like them too. Even if they do all have hats. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

The tricorn was more popular amongst civilians, actually. The Bicorn (athwartships and the fore-n-aft styles) was the military headgear of the Napoleonic era... but PotC doesn't really have any, save the shikper or whatever that old man is. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Nice civilians! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

I have made a spanish soldier (more will follow) to replace the stock ones.

Well... unfortunately, once again, your method of recoloring has all but anihilated shading on his coat and belt. I'm sorry to criticize your work, but your approach isn't very good.

Consider this hastily prepared example:
<img src="http://republika.pl/kazeite/images2/recolor.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />
I drew a mask over read parts of the coat and desaturated them, which nicely removed the red color. By changing the color balance of the gold trim I was able to change its color into green. And this is the result - the colors are different, but the shading remained mostly intact.
