Note and clarification:
The PotC Files FTP can be used for storing all your PotC-related mods. The PotC Build FTP is for Build-specific files.
Only members of the "Modders" usergroup can access the Build FTP.

NOTE: FTP Commander from here has all the information already plugged in to the server to allow access to the POTC Files FTP

EDIT (30th June 2011): Please note that the former 'Address' on the list of details above has been changed to 'FTP Server', to clear any confusion when inputting them into FTP Commander.

Is the Build 13 download available via ftp ?? had endless grief trying to download this even using broadband!!

Hello, downloaded the full build 13, installed over the build 12 , have also installed build 13 update 3 patch, this is running well, definitely worth the large download. Very enjoyable .

Had one bug tho, when in the main menu screen ( F2 ) I used the 'exit' icon top right, and all the keyboard functions failed, wasn't able to steer or alter sail, the ship carried on out of control , had to control alt delete to get out. Is this a known bug ?

Do I need any other patches for the build 13 ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

BTW: How do we 'ransom' a captured officer ? I have tried to no avail.

Hello,

I've tried today to connect the new FTP but, i was deconnected after the authentification of the password.

Here is the parameter i've used to connect me to the FTP server :
FTP Adress:
ftp.pafiles.com
Login:
potc@pafiles.com
Password:
p1rate5ah0y

The conecction was ended by the server just after i was entered the password.
There is some temporary error or problem on the FTP server?
Would someone checking that please?

Aye. I'm having the same problem. Kicks me off just after authenticating the password. Help would be appropriated. (Im looking for that 'up is down' that was uploaded)

EDIT: Never mind! the second I post I can get on!
 
I wanted to add a heads up that "build13_full.exe" isn't working / is possibly corrupt. The filesize is 671 Kb when it should be about 300 Mb.
Since I've had one hell of a time chasing down the full build 13 mod I'd ask whoever is managing the FTP to replace the file with the correct one.
Alternatively I could upload the correct file to the FTP so that it's easier to find for all the newbs.
 
You're quite right. And my site where the file used to be available is down as well, so apparently the file is available nowhere at the moment. ARGH! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Edit: On second thought, I don't have time to upload the whole file anymore today. I will upload it tomorrow.

I have the full working version from your site. I'm sitting on a 2Mbit out link so I can easily upload it to the Pirates Ahoy! FTP. PM me with details of username and password if they are different from the public ones when it comes to uploading.

Hey I'm somewhat new to the site but i can't get on the FTP and was wondering how to get on it. i put the address in like it says and it comes back at me saying that it can not access the folder and to make sure that i have the file name correct and have premission.
 
You need an FTP program, such as FTP Commander which I have attached to this post. Download it and extract the ZIP. All login information has already been set in this version of the program, so you should be able to log in immediately without setting anything up. You might need to set your firewall to allow FTP Commander to access the internet.
 
Yes. It is on the Files FTP in Bartolomeu o Portugues' folder. It does have Davy Jones' face, so it's better than no Davy at all. Still it would be nice to have a better one. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
