For Barbossa's hat, try <a href="http://www.captjackspiratehats.com" target="_blank">Captain Jack's Pirate Hats</a>. They have one called the Barbossa, which is very similar to in the movie. However, Captain Jack tolk me yesterday that he's about to offer a special movie version, complete with weathering, bullet holes, and what not. I'm sure if you inquired, he'd be happy to share the details.

Heh... My poor pirate hat is getting to be pretty raggedy, it might be nice to get a new one to go with the fine fancy doublet I'm contemplating buying... To my mind, it's coming a little too late... They should have done them right away. I have the movie on DVD and have watched it several times because to me, it's fun... Not particularly GREAT filmmaking, but fun nonetheless.

But how much of this kind of movie can the average moviegoer stand? If they had put these movies out quickly, people *might* have gotten the bug, but as it stands, well, they're on to the next new fad...
