Need Help Potc is crashing

I've got potc build mod 14 2.1, and:
Win7
Intel core 2 duo 3.0 Ghz
GeForce gtx 550 ti
And It's crashing every 2 minutes, it's freaking annoying. I had installed it some time ago and i didn't have things such as this. Anyone could tell me whats is this about.

Hmmm. It looks like you have an older computer that you have upgraded. Nothing wrong with that, I have done it too.
I had a problem where POTC was crashing a dozen times a day and eventually traced it down to my PSU not being strong enough for my new video card. I have an 850 watt psu now and CTDs are very rare.
 
I changed resolution to highest and crashes almost stopped. Good thing is that now game is playable, but i've got to quicksafe my game every minute. Thanks for help.
 
Eh? That sounds like your video card was running in 2d power saving mode. Have you tried cranking up other settings like AA & AF? You can create a profile for POTC in your Nvidia control panel by using Cossacks II. That is how it does it for some reason.
 
I'll have fun with that on saturday, i didn't cranked anything. We'll wait, we'll see. I think that has got something with graphics card because i had few crashes in battle when enemy canon volley was supposed to hit me.
