Raising the Jolly Roger

By the looks of it, <i>makeint(GetLocationNationFromID(NPchar.location))!=3</i> is actually meant to prevent this from happening in pirate towns. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

That might have been some times ago... I remember having a hard time at Tortuga because of that, maybe in a pre-build 13 version. That was when I first tried raising Pirate flag. Would be good to have a little video of your crew puting away your former flag and raising the Jolly Roger... there were such a thing in Seadogs - who never tried to fire on Highrock Fort at the begining of the game?...

Have you ever had the recognizing happening to you in Build 13 in pirate towns? It *should* be fixed, but I'd like to have confirmed that it is in fact fixed. A video would be nice; but we'd need to find a video to use for that then.

steal it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Seadogs, of course. that's where it's from, anyway.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Impossible. Seadogs doesn't use any 'videos' like in PotC, the cinematics are 3D objects that are animated, in the same format than the character & ships 3D models. So it's not doable, as far as I know.

It is possible to make screen capture videos, isn't it? Are you thinking what I'm thinking...? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Keep in mind that the graphic difference between the two game is huge. Have you never seen any screenshots of Seadogs? What looks beautifull in Seadogs wouldn't necessary look good at all in PotC, that's the way the things are. (at least for the 3D part, it's funny to see that all the 'new interface' in Build 13 and other is coming directly from Seadogs.)

If you don't recall how Seadogs graphics looked like, see the trailer (eventhought quality ingame is better of what we see in the trailler) :
<a href="http://www.gamespot.com/video/913861/2618133/sea-dogs-movie-1" target="_blank">http://www.gamespot.com/video/913861/26181...ea-dogs-movie-1</a>
This is not a high-quality video and the final game was a little different from that (the specialists would have notice that it's way too fast, that the menus are a little different, that in the sword fight sequence the characters are moving backward and forward which is not possible in the final game - althought all models have the necessary animation, that the map is different - El Caimano south of Highrock ! - and finally that Nicolas Sharp doesn't have his pony tail.)

Another problem : in Seadogs, the sky & light in the cinematic are exactly the same of what they are when you decide to change flag. What will you choose for PotC?...

Indeed the graphics look pretty much outdated. But still it does look like a good game. From what I've heard it's the best unmodded pirate game out there. And possibly also the best modded one. Although I prefer to think that PotC is the real best one. But indeed I am not sure if it would fit in. Might be worth a try, but not if it's too much trouble. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

It is, believe me. I've being playing it for years... and I'm still modding it.
