When I started the game the new models came up as just white. they still had the outline of the model, but they were completely white. Do you know what I did wrong?

I think you didn't install the texture files in the right folder. Resourse/Textures/Characters

pls notice i can´t host the files longer as a week then i need the space again . Hey, next time though, can you make it a bit eisier to install?
It took me a very long time to install it. And, also, your garryson files (who are they based on anyway, they are very nice) the heads don't show up. I replaced the naval officer with the one with the black facings. The head works fine with the replacement. Just letting you know, mate.

Perhaps I am just slow, but do you think one of you could please explain exactly what I need to do to install them, because I can't get them to come up in the game. Also, do they replace the current soldiers?

Yes they replace the Soldiers.

The .GM files that begin with a h_ go into the Resourse/Models/Heads folder.
The other .GM files go into the Resourse/Models/Characters folder
The .tga.tx files go into the Resourse/Textures/Characters folder
The plain .tga files ignore they are just there in case you want to edit them

same problem here.....i d like to change the main character into the
Lucky Jack model which came along with Derringers tex pack <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

i put all the gm files into resource/models/characters
h.gm files into resource/models/heads
tga.tx into resource/textures/characters

then i also changed the model in program/models/init.models.c......the file where the tailor shop stuff is.....in order to change it during the game. But i forgot something i know. There is something changed in the build <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":|" border="0" alt="mellow.gif" /> i did it b4, but dont remember where <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Again, i d like to change the main character, not the normal soldiers <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="no.gif" />
(it dont works with program/character/character.init.c....that was long time ago b4 the tailor shop came)

the name of the model is "Aubrey", not Crowe_Ru77 <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
