That would work and gives me the idea of a square rigged (possible even ship-rigged) Xebec, but that would be another project.
It would be for a later time period than what I'm going for.

For your information, this is what I can and what I cannot do: I can't create collision parts of the models, which means I can't make any path.gm files at all. And while I can add some extra cannons or decks or whatever, without proper collision data they're intangible, 'cause old collision data doesn't have them. Which is why all my modified ships usually have stuff added where player can't walk in <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
well, as for the polacre, the hull for the xebec is just about identical. obvious, as it's in fact based upon it. note that it has a jib.

I finally got to it. I'll be putting this stuff into a Petros folder.

I uploaded the Schooner4_50 there.

Pieter I also uploaded the Caravel3-50 again.
I found a texture error in two masts, so I corrected them and loaded the entire package again.
Please include it in Build 13 updates.

I'll be putting up a "Flying and Swimming crew" mod later today.

I wonder though, aren't those the default settings for all ships?

Meaning that if there isn't a designation in the individual ships listing, then the defaults listed elsewhere in the file take over.

Been out of the business for too long, I need to check this.
 
I but think that <i>refShip.CanEncounter = true;</i> should be left alone or just put it false because after all it seems to be a unique ship for me and for me it looks odd seeing many Rum Runners in my encounters ..Rum Runner should only be seen used by pirates.
 
Aye, that be an administrative decision I haven't thought through yet.

I wasn't thinking of making this one unique but as I've made a few things for the Pirates already, I might consider giving this one to the Portuguese.

The ugly smuggler ship I'm working on now will probably be Pirate only.

I already kicked some spanish galleons, brigs, schooners right into the a$$ with my Schooner MM by sailing around like crazy and shooting like a mad man ..Boooyyy that was FUN!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />
 
i'd mount the mizzen yard lower to the mast. it would do good to how it looks. either that, or make the aft-most end longer.

Any lower and the boom is at eye level if you walk aft topside.

the half of the yard that's behind the mast. right now, it's off-centered.

i've found out what that ship is. it's an early caravel. the rigging is exactly the same, only the boom wasn't there on the real ship.
